Karuppu Week 2 Collection: Film earns Rs. 62.73 Crore; Becomes the 2nd highest second-week grosser in Kollywood history
Karuppu has finished its second week with a phenomenal performance, establishing itself as a major force at the Kollywood box office. The movie has managed to hold its ground remarkably well after a massive opening week, showing that the interest from the general audience is far from fading. Looking at the day-wise numbers, the film showed a classic trending pattern with a massive surge over the second weekend and a very steady hold during the weekdays.
When we look at the all-time records for the second-week net collection of Tamil films, Karuppu has achieved something extraordinary by securing the number two spot. On its 14th day, which was the second Thursday, the film collected 4.15 crore net from the Tamil version. This performance is significant because it places Karuppu at the number eight spot in the history of Kollywood for the highest second Thursday collections. It successfully pushed past big titles like Varisu and Coolie in this category, proving that the film has high sustainability in theaters.
Karuppu has officially wrapped up its second week and the performance is nothing short of spectacular. By the end of day 14, the film has solidified its place among the elite. Talking about the BookMyShow (BMS) ticket sales, it has hit the 4.02 million mark. This puts it in direct competition with massive blockbusters like Jailer, Leo, and Coolie. It is currently chasing the 4.23 million record of The Goat, and looking at the current trend, it is not too far away.
The second week was particularly strong, adding over 1.1 million tickets on BMS alone. The weekend was the major highlight, with Saturday and Sunday seeing a combined sale of over 5.1 lakh tickets. Even on the weekdays, the film managed to stay steady, with Thursday actually showing a slight jump. Apart from the online bookings, ticket sales through national chains have also been impressive, crossing the 2,50,000 mark so far.

Overall, the film is moving ahead at a great pace. The hold in the second week confirms that the movie has resonated well with the general public across all major regions. While Tamil Nadu remains the primary driver, the consistency in the Telugu and Karnataka markets is providing a huge boost. The overseas performance has also been a major contributor, with the film earning a total of 16 crore during its second week. This was driven by a strong second weekend where day 8 saw 3 crore and day 10 saw 3 crore, while day 9 peaked at 4.50 crore. The weekdays remained stable as day 11 and day 12 brought in 1.50 crore each, followed by 1.25 crore on both day 13 and day 14.Looking at specific markets, North America has contributed 1.32 million dollars (approximately 11.08 crore) so far, with 10 thousand dollars (around 8.4 lakhs) coming in on the second Wednesday alone. With no major competition in sight, Karuppu is expected to gain even more traction as it enters its third week.
