Pradeep Ranganathan's LIK Postponed To December 18, Averting Clash With Dude

Chennai, October 16 - Rising Tamil star Pradeep Ranganathan was heading to lock horns with himself this Diwali with Dude and Love Insurance Kompany. However, in a major relief, the unwanted clash has been averted after the makers postponed LIK to December 18, 2025. Produced by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio, LIK was announced for Diwali 2025 release along with Ranganathan's Dude (October 21), produced by AGS Entertainment. On Monday (October 6), the makers officially announced that LIK was postponed and it will now be released in December instead. While the actor has avoided the tricky situation for now, LIK won't be a solo outing in December either. It is already announced that James Cameron's highly-awaited Avatar: Fire and Ash is scheduled to hit the big screen on December 19, and it will be a major cinematic event at the Indian box office. Meanwhile, LIK is directed by Vignesh Shivan. The science fiction romantic comedy was initially announced untitled in 2019 with Sivakarthikeyan starring and Lyca Productions producing; however, it was shelved due to budget concerns. In 2023, the project was revived with Pradeep, and the official announcement by Seven Screen Studios was made in September that year. The movie, set in 2040, stars Pradeep Ranganathan, S. J. Dhanush Files Case Against Nayanthara

Chennai, November 27 - Tamil star Dhanush has filed a case against actress Nayanthara for allegedly using visuals related to his production Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her Netflix documentary - Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale without his permission. ## Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, was produced by Dhanush and the actor-filmmaker has been at loggerheads with the actress for the same. Recently, Nayan shared a note on social media in which she slammed Dhanush for denying her permission and demanding a 10 crore sum for using the film's footage in the documentary. ## According to the report by NDTV, Dhanush has approached the Madras High Court against Nayanthara, her husband Vignesh Shivan and their production house Rowdy Pictures Private Limited as the civil suit claims the actress and others used certain visuals from the movie without obtaining NOC. ## Dhanush's Wunderber Films Private also has taken out an application urging the High Court to grant permission to sue the Mumbai-based company Los Gatos Production Services India LLP, an entity through which Netflix reports its content investments in India, per NDTV.## The lawsuit threatens that if the content (in Nayanthara's documentary) isn't taken down within 24 hours, Dhanush's legal team will be forced to initiate appropriate legal action, including but not limited to seeking damages to a sum of Rs. 10 crores against Nayanthara and Netflix India.## Stay tuned...
