Jagame Thandhiram Would Have Been A Great Theatrical Experience, Says Dhanush

Chennai, June 1, 2021: Tamil superstar Dhanush's most-awaited film, Jagame Thandhiram's trailer was launched on Tuesday, June 1. The movie, which marks the first collaboration between the actor and director Karthik Subbaraj, will premiere directly on Netflix on June 18. ## The trailer shows Dhanush in the role of a Madurai-based witty gangster called Suruli. He travels to London to take on a local gangster named Peter Sprott, played by Hollywood actor James Cosmo of Game of Thrones fame. James Cosmo plays the role of a London-based mafia boss and shares a bitter relationship with Suruli. ## Produced by Y NOT Studios, and Reliance Entertainment, Jagame Thandhiram was supposed to release in theaters in May last year but was delayed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this year, Dhanush mentioned that the movie is made for the big screen only, however, in February, the producer S Sashikanth of Y Not Studio decided to release it against theaters on Netflix. ## As Dhanush was quite confident about the theatrical release, the decision of the direct OTT release on Netflix did disappoint him. He distanced himself from the film's promotion and has reportedly not been on talking terms with the producer. ## On Tuesday, Dhanush took to Twitter and shared the trailer link of Jagame Thandhiram saying, "What would have been a great theatrical experience coming to Netflix. Apart from the original Tamil language, the movie will also be releasing in the dubbed versions in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. ## Meanwhile, Dhanush's latest release, Karnan was also speculated for direct-to-digital release, however, the makers burst speculations and released the movie in theaters on April 9. Chennai, May 30, 2021: Thalapathy Vijay's last release, Master was one of the biggest blockbusters of his career. The movie, which also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan, released early this year during the covid-19 pandemic and created box office records, grossing over Rs. 220 crores worldwide. ## After giving a massive blockbuster in Master, the superstar moves to his next, tentatively titled "Thalapathy 65". A Sequel To Tamil Blockbuster 'Kaithi' Is In Works, Producer SR Prabhu Confirms

Chennai, May 25, 2021: Soon after the Tamil movie "Kaithi" starring Karthi was released in 2019, the fans have been speculating about the sequel of this film which is noted to be inspired by the 1976 American film Assault on Precinct 13. ## The ending of the action blockbuster was in such a way that it opened up a new leaf for a deeper story, leaving the fans wanting more from the story. Well, things are rightly falling in place after director Lokesh Kanagaraj and actor Karthi hinted about a possible sequel sometime back.## Now, producer SR Prabhu has also confirmed through a Twitter Spaces session that Kaithi 2 is definitely in the works and the audience will definitely get to see what happened next. Vijay Sethupathi's Political Thriller, Laabam To Release On Ramzan In Theaters

Chennai, April 22, 2021: Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi's long-awaited political thriller film, Laabam finally finalized the release date. Written and Directed by late S. P. Film Fraternity Mourns The Demise Of Tamil Actor Vivek Who Died At 59

Chennai, April 17, 2021, Renowned Tamil actor, Vivek who shared the screen space with Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith Kumar, and others, died due to a heart attack in a Chennai hospital in the early hours of Saturday. He was admitted to SIMS Hospital in Vadapalani where he underwent an angioplasty and stenting procedure on Friday for a complete block in a critical blood vessel of the heart. He was put on ECMO support in the intensive care unit.## The actor, who was 59 years old, made his debut in 1987 with Manathil Uruthi Vendum which also starred late S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. He worked on over 200 movies and all those movies were in the Tamil language. His last movie before his death was Dharala Prabhu which is the remake of the Hindi movie, Vicky Donor.
