Box Office: Aavesham Becomes 5th Highest-Grossing Malayalam Movie Worldwide

Kochi, May 1 - The latest blockbuster Aavesham has become the fifth highest-grossing Malayalam film at the box office. The Fahadh Faasil-starrer has outgrossed recent mega-blockbuster Premalu to enter the top Malayalam movie globally. ## The Jithu Madhavan's directorial action drama film will be crossing 133+ crores worldwide gross at the end of its 21st day (3rd Wednesday) which will take it past Premalu which minted approximately 131.50 crores at the global box office. ## Aavesham is now behind only Manjummel Boys (236+ crores), 2018 (180 crores), Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life (156 crores), and Pulimurugan (139.50 crores) at number 5. The Chidambaram's directorial has become the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all time at the domestic box office, beating last year's 2018. ## Based on a true incident, Manjummel Boys has surpassed 2018's final domestic collection of 110.50 crores gross at the time of penning this piece. The movie minted around 109.50 crores through the third Tuesday (19 days) and with today's collection, it will be around 112 crores gross. ## Apart from becoming the biggest Malayalam domestic grosser, Manjummel Boys is also inches away from topping 2018's 180 crores gross collection to become the biggest Mollywood worldwide grosser. It will be around 173 crores at the end of the end by 4th Friday, it will claim the top spot. ## The movie has been creating history at the box office since its big-screen debut on February 22. Box Office: 'Premalu' Becomes 5th Malayalam Movie To Top 100 Crore Worldwide Gross Collection

Kochi, March 13 - Naslen K. Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju's romantic comedy Premalu becomes the fifth Malayalam movie ever to top the 100 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. The movie achieved the milestone in its 5th week. ## Directed by Girish A. D., Premalu has been a kind of revolution at the box office. Made on a budget of around 10 crores, the movie faced competition from bigger films and despite that, it has been showing incredible legs at the box office. ## In India, Premalu has minted approximately 62+ crores gross while the overseas collection is an estimated 38 crores, for 100+ crores worldwide total after 33 days of its run. The movie was recently released in the Telugu dubbed version and has grossed over 2.50 crores in 5 days so far. ## It is the 5th Malayalam movie of all time to enter the 100 crores gross club. Superstar Mohanlal's Pulimurugan was the first to achieve the feat in 2016, followed by the actor's Lucifer in 2019. Superstar Mohanlal's Much-Awaited 'L2: Empuran' Release Date Revealed

Kochi, March 11 - Superstar Mohanlal's hugely-awaited action thriller film L2: Empuraan, the second instalment of the mega-blockbuster Lucifer, is currently in the production stage. The movie is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran who also plays a key role in it. ## L2E has been filming since last year and the makers recently completed a major schedule in the USA. There have been a lot of enquiry about the movie's release date but the makers are yet to make it official. However, the latest exciting rumour has surfaced online. ## According to Malayalam news portals, L2E will be hitting worldwide theatres in the summer of 2025 while some reports say it will make its grand big-screen debut on the 6th anniversary of the first movie in March next year. Kochi, March 10 - Real life-based survival thriller Manjummel Boys is re-writing box office history and today (18th day), it will become only the third Malayalam film to top 100 crores gross collection at the domestic box office. ## The engaging survival story turned into a cinematic adventure is putting up an insane show in India as well as the international box office.
