Historic Milestone; KGF Chapter 2 Is 400 Cr Not Out In Hindi
Mumbai, May 7, 2022: KGF Chapter 2 which was the most awaited film from the Indian film industry this year has smashed every initial record despite releasing in the Pre-eid period which is not the best day for the box office. First, The film broke the long-standing opening day record of the War by collecting 53.95cr net box office collections. Further, the film went on to smash the first weekend and week record of Baahubali2 as well. The film had a minimal drop after the massive first week but still, the collections were extraordinary. The 400cr net mark was looking difficult but as soon as the Eid holidays started the film once again came back in the race and eventually joined the historic milestone of the 400cr club. The dull performances of films like Jersey, Heropanti2, and Runway34 were also responsible for the overperformance of KGF Chapter 2 in a long run. The film has become the second only film in history to cross the 400cr net box office collections after Baahubali2 in the Hindi language and both films did in the dubbed Hindi version which makes this achievement even more historic. There is still some gas left in the tank for KGF Chapter 2 and although the multiplexes of India got an event film in the form of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, The mass centres will still witness huge footfalls over the next couple of weeks for KGF Chapter 2. The lifetime collections might cross 425cr net box office collections or even more.
