Hombale Films' 'Dhoomam' Starring Fahadh Faasil Release Date Revealed

Bengaluru, March 22 - Hombale Films delivered two mega-blockbusters last year in the form of KGF: Chapter 2 and Kantara which combed grossed over 1600 crores worldwide in a combined budget of approx. 120 crores. ## After such mega success, Hombale Films has become the synonym of blockbusters and there is genuine excitement regarding its next films. The studio will have a couple of releases this year, and one of them is Fahadh Faasil-fronted drama film "Dhoomam". ## "Dhoomam" was announced in September last year under the direction of Pawan Kumar, who directed the Kannada movie "U-Turn". Dhoomam is said to be the revival project of Pawan Kumar who reportedly wanted to make it with either Rakshit Shetty or Dhananjay under the title of C10H14N2 (the chemical formula of Nicotine). ## Meanwhile, as per the latest reports, Hombale Films is planning to release "Dhoomam" in the last week of June, either on June 23 or 30. The movie, as announced earlier, will be released in Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil languages. It has Aparna Balamurali as the female lead along with Roshan Mathew in a pivotal role.## Hombale Films, on the other hand, has multiple films in the pipeline, and the most-awaited of them is Prabhas-fronted "Salaar" which is slated for September 28, 2023, release. Bengaluru, March 19 - Actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty's all-time Kannada blockbuster Kantara has been confirmed to release in Italy and Spain in their native languages. ## Directed by Shetty, Kantara was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2022 with a worldwide gross collection of over 400 crores. It was made on a budget of approx. 15 crores and was released in the original language initially but became a nationwide sensation after releasing in other Indian languages. ## Overseas, it did business of approx. 44 crores and now, the makers want to cash in on the opportunity by releasing the movie in other international markets. Bengaluru, November 22 - Hombale Films has another reason to be proud as its latest sensation, Kantara has crossed 400 crores at the global box office in 53 days. It is the second back-to-back film for the studio to reach this rare box office milestone, after KGF: Chapter 2.## The Rishab Shetty-starrer has grossed a might 358.50 crores (304.10 crores net) in India, making it the third highest-grossing film at the domestic box office in 2022 after "KGF 2" and "RRR". Among the all-time domestic-grosser, "Kantara" is at the 17th number. ## Made with a budget of just 16 crores, "Kantara" has been excellent at the overseas box office as well as it performed much better than expected. It has grossed 43 crores internationally, helping worldwide gross cume to reach 401.50 crores, making it the 5th Indian film of 2022 and 24th of all-time to breach the milestone. ## Originally released in the Kannada language, the film was dubbed in other languages and released in theaters. Bengaluru, November 11 - Rishab Shetty's mega-blockbuster Kantara is on a record-breaking spree at the box office and setting new benchmarks for low-budget films with each passing day. ## Who had thought that a film, which opened to below 2 crore net, would cross 100 crores, probably on one? But such has been the response to the film that even 100 crores have become a thing of the past as "Kantara" is now looking to reach 4X of 100 crores. ## As of today (November 11), the adventure action thriller film has grossed approx. 360 crores worldwide in 42 days. The movie has proved to be a horse of the long race and going by the current trend, it is not going to stop anytime soon. ## Despite new releases every week, "Kantara" continues to score over 2 crores net every day for all languages. While the movie will get slow at the box office from today onwards due to the challenge from notable releases, the movie still has an outside chance to breach 400 crores gross mark globally. ## Apart from reaching the milestone at the global box office, "Kantara" also has a chance to create history at the Karnataka box office by becoming the highest-grossing film ever in the state. Currently, Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 is the number 1 movie in the state with approx. 182 crores whereas "Kantara" is not far behind with approx. 173 crores. ## The Hombale Films production is also in the race to breach 100 crores net in the dubbed Hindi version. It has netted approx. 70 crores in 28 days of its Hindi release and remains of the possible contenders to reach the milestone in its full run. Mumbai, October 28 - Actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty's adventure action thriller Kantara continues its heroic run at the box office, making people go wow with each passing day. At one point, the movie was not even expected to reach even 50 crores, but now, even 300 crores gross looking within the reach. ## While the original Kannada version is going berserk, the "Kantara" Hindi version is also performing strongly along with the Telugu language. Bengaluru, October 25 - The Diwali festival of 2022 for Hombale Films gets better as its Kantara races past Rs. 200 crores at the global box office, making it the second film for the studio to do so in 2022 after KGF: Chapter 2.## Written and directed by Rishab Shetty, who also plays the lead role in the film, "Kantara" has grossed approx. 210 crores worldwide in 25 days of its box office run in all languages. 'Kantara' Creates A Historic Record At The Karnataka Box Office

Bengaluru, October 24 - Rishab Shetty's blockbuster Kantara has created a huge record in Karnataka state as it has become the most-watched film ever in the state in theaters. This is indeed a huge record considering it wasn't expected to be this strong. ## The Rishab Shetty-starrer film has grossed approx. 130 crores in Karnataka state with approx. 7.7 million footfalls. It beat the footfalls of both the "KGF" films which scored 7.5 million and 7.2 million footfalls respectively.
