Kichcha Sudeepa's 'Vikrant Rona' Hits 100 Crores Viewing Minutes On ZEE5

Bengaluru, September 23 - Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeepa's action-adventure thriller film Vikrant Rona has been receiving a thundering response on ZEE5. The movie started premiering digitally on September 2 after becoming a box office hit, grossing over 100 crores worldwide. ## After its successful outing at the box office, "Vikrant Rona" continued its good run on the streaming platform as well as it has crossed 1000 million or 100 crores viewing minutes on ZEE5, announced the makers. Kichcha Sudeepa took to Twitter and thanked the audience for the overwhelming response to the movie.## Directed by Anup Bhandari, the story of the movie revolves around a remote village in the middle of tropical rainforest which starts witnessing a series of unexplainable events which are attributed to the supernatural. ## Sudeepa plays the title role of Inspector Vikrant Rona along with Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok, and Jacqueline Fernandez in key roles. The movie is produced by Jack Manjunath under the banner Shalini Arts and Alankar Pandian. Upendra, Kichcha Sudeepa's 'Kabzaa' To Release In 7 Indian Languages

Bengaluru, September 17 - The Kannada film industry is flying high after the mega-blockbuster success of KGF: Chapter 2, and now, the industry is looking to score another big success with the upcoming period gangster drama film Kabzaa. ## The teaser of Upendra and Kichcha Sudeepa-fronted was released on Saturday (Sept. 17) and it brings back the vibes of KGF. The movie revolves around a 1947 Gandhi follower and a freedom fighter and how they were brutally attacked. Due to unavoidable circumstances, the freedom fighter's son gets trapped in the mafia world and the story unfolds between 1947 to 1984.## The teaser did not reveal any story or dialogues, but it still managed to leave a mark, thanks to the Ravi Basrur standout background score which perfectly syncs with the theme of the movie. Upendra is playing the lead role of a gangster while it also stars Shriya Saran as the female lead. ## "Kabzaa" will be a Pan India film that will release in seven Indian languages, including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Odia, and Marathi. One Man Believed In KGF And It Created History: Mahesh Manjrekar

Mumbai, September 15 - Filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar spoke highly about Kannada's blockbuster film franchise KGF and called it the industry-saving film. The filmmaker graced a star-studded event, held at a five-star hotel in Mumbai on September 14, where some of the most prominent personalities of Marathi cinema were present. ## Mahesh Manjrekar was speaking in the context of giving more importance to regional cinema and said that the Kannada industry is the prime example of it, which, the filmmaker believed, was changed because of one person. ## "Some years back, the condition of the Kannada film industry was such that it seemed like it would shut down anytime. But there was one person who believed in making a film and spending a lot of money on it. That person (probably referring to producer Vijay Kiragandur) made a film named KGF and it created history.## "What makes me happy is that they didn't make both parts of KGF in Hindi. They shot the film in Kannada, dubbed it in Hindi aur fir audience ke sir ke upar feka!", he said, according to Bollywood Hungama. ## "I envy these guys. I would have loved to do something like this. It is superb", the "Antim" director added. "We have to shout from the rooftops that Marathi cinema is (also) great. There's no dearth of talent when it comes to Marathi cinema. Then what is it that we are lacking? We also need people who believe in our vision. It's crucial that we make big-scale films, that too with conviction and confidence".## The filmmaker further said that investors should also believe in Marathi cinema and its filmmaker like Vijay Kiragandur believed in director Prashanth Neel's vision and Yash's confidence, called KGF. "Somebody has to believe in us and spend money, like the way KGF producers did. I mean, come on, KGF - Chapter 2 collected Rs. 1000 crores! Can you imagine?", he added.## "KGF" was released in 2018 and went on to become the highest-grossing Kannada film of all time before its sequel came in 2022 and shattered box office records at the Pan India level. Released in April 2022, "KGF: Chapter 2" grossed over 1200 crores worldwide, including approx. 1000 crores in India alone. Box Office: Vikrant Rona Scored Very Good First Week (All Languages)

Bengaluru, August 5 - The Kannada film industry continues to deliver at the box office this year. After KGF 2 and Charlie 777, Kichcha Sudeepa's Vikrant Rona joins the party. The mystery action-adventure film has completed an extended opening week and scored 80.50 crores gross worldwide. The domestic gross collection for the movie stands at 75.90 crores (64.26 cr. net) while the overseas total is approx. 4.60 crores. The original Kannada version is leading the pack with 47.40 crores net, followed by Hindi with 8.05 crores net. The other versions scored 11.17 crores net. Region-wise, Vikrant Rona has scored 53.25 crores gross in the home state Karnataka while in Telugu states, it has grossed 6.92 crores. It is a bit hit in AP/TG as it crossed the break-even target in just 3 days. In the rest of India, the movie has managed to collect approx. 16 crores gross in the first week. Mumbai, July 31 - Yet another Kannada film doing very well at the box office this year as Kichcha Sudeepa's Vikrant Rona completes opening weekend with an excellent collection. The mystery action-adventure film, after coming ahead of estimates on Saturday, scores another good jump of around 23% for an estimated 14 crores net (16.65 cr. gross) on Sunday, closing extended opening weekend on 53.30 crores net. Box Office: Vikrant Rona First Saturday Early Estimates (All Languages)

Bengaluru, July 30 - Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeepa's "Vikrant Rona" is getting acceptance among the audiences as it witnesses good growth on its first Saturday at the domestic box office. The mystery action-adventure film dipped 57% on Friday but is back in strong mode and sees a jump of approx. 25% for an estimated approx. 11 crores net (13 crores gross). This takes the total net collection to approx. 39 crores after 3 days. The Anup Bhandari-directed film did very well in the home state, Karnataka on the first two days by grossing 25.05 crores. It scores an estimated 9 crores gross more on Saturday, pushing the total gross collection in the state to over 34 crores. In the Telugu states, the film scored 2.73 crores in the first two days and adds an estimated 1 crore gross more on Saturday, entering the profit zone already in AP/TG. In Tamil Nadu and Kerala, the film manages to collect approx. 2 crores gross in three days, after scoring approx. 70 lakh on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the film performed decently on the first two days, scoring approx. 3.60 crores net, including an estimated 1.35 crores net on the third day. Box Office: Vikrant Rona First Friday Early Estimates (All Languages)

Bengaluru, July 29 - Kichcha Sudeepa's 3D adventure film, "Vikrant Rona" sees a drop of over 50% on its second day, after scoring an excellent opening day of 19.6 crores net. Directed by Anup Bhandari, the movie scored an estimated 8.50 crores net (10 crores gross) on the first Friday, pushing the total net collection to over 28 crores. The drop on the second day can be termed as normal, considering the fact that the movie has had a working day release on Thursday. "Vikrant Rona" did exceedingly well in the home state, Karnataka on the first day by grossing 17.80 crores, which is the third biggest start for a Kannada movie in the state. It remains solid on Friday and grossed an estimated 7 crores. In the Telugu states, the film scored 2 crores on the first day and adds an estimated 75 lakh gross more on Friday. In Tamil Nadu and Kerala, the film manages to collect approx. 1.35 crores gross in two days, after scoring approx. 52 lakh on Friday. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the film performed decently on the first two days, scoring approx. 2.70 crores (2.30 crores net), including an estimated 1 crores net on the second day. Box Office: Vikrant Rona Takes 3rd Biggest Opening In Karanataka For A Kannada Movie

Bengaluru, July 29 - Kichcha Sudeepa's "Vikrant Rona" surprised on an opening day and takes an excellent start at the domestic box office. The film got benefitted due to positive word of mouth as occupancy got picked towards evening as the spot booking was very good. The mystery action adventure witnessed one of the record-breaking responses in the home state, Karanataka, which was very much expected. It scored a whopping 17.80 crores gross on the first day, which is the 3rd biggest ever in the state for a Sandalwood film. Interestingly, the top 3 biggest openings of all time in Karnataka came in 2022. Yash-fronted Pan India blockbuster "KGF Chapter 2" is leading this chart with 26.50 crores gross, followed by later Puneeth Rajkumar's "James", which grossed 21 crores. SS Rajamouli's "Baahbuali 2" is the biggest non-Sandalwood opener in Karanataka with 19.50 crores gross. Bengaluru, July 28 - Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeepa's mystery action-adventure film "Vikrant Rona" takes an excellent start at the domestic box office. Bengaluru, July 11 - Kichcha Sudeep's long-awaited action-adventure film, Vikrant Rona is gearing up to hit worldwide screens on July 28. The movie has created a very good buzz around it and looking all set to take a big opening at the box office. ## The multilingual movie, directed by Anup Bhandari, is one of the biggest Kannada movies of the year, and very rightly, the makers are putting all their efforts to release the movie on the maximum number of screens all over India.
