Sankranthi 2022 Festival Perfectly Poised To Witness Mega Box Office Clash Of Telugu Biggies!

Hyderabad, July 29, 2021: The relentless covid-19 pandemic hardly have allowed the entertainment sector to move ahead in the last one and a half years. While the two-third of 2020 had completely vanished, the year 2021 begin on a positive note for the South Indian film industry, however, it too didn't last long because of the second covid-19 wave. The cinemas were ordered to close again, and with that, the many big stars' movies were again forced to postpone across languages. ## The pandemic has not only wiped out the release plans of the films but also has shortened the release window as there are so many films ready for their big-screen debut. While some movies have opted for direct-to-digital release, most of the others are waiting for cinemas to reopen. Since there is not much wide window available for the films to release, box office clashes are bound to happen. ## To begin with, Sankranthi 2022 seems to be the first festival to light up with the release of some of the biggest Telugu films. As things stand now, Makar Sankranti 2022 may witness a mega box office clash of Telugu biggies. Since it is the first festival of the year, makers would want to cash in the opportunity to lure the audiences which could turn out to be a box office bonanza. If reports are to be believed, there are at least 5 films that will be releasing on the Sankranthi 2022 occasion. ## Pawan Kalyan - Rana Daggubati's yet-untitled film, and Mahesh Babu's "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" have already been confirmed to release on Sankranthi 2022 on January 12 and 13 respectively. Apart from these two films, Prabhas' period romantic film "Radhe Shyam" has also set January 14 release. There is buzz that Dil Raju production's "F3" will also be released around that time. ## Apart from outright Telugu films, Thalapathy Vijay's "Beast" is said to be making its debut on Pongal 2022. Interestingly, "Beast" will be Vijay's second back-to-back Pongal release after "Master" in 2021. "Master" was one of the first biggies to release in cinemas after reopening early this year, and it did wonders at the box office, earning over Rs. 150 crores net in India. There are talks that "Beast" will also be releasing in the Telugu dubbed version. ## There is no doubt that if the covid-19 pandemic remains under control, 2022 could prove to be a game-changing year for the film industry. PSPKRana Movie To Clash With Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata On Sankranthi 2022

Hyderabad, July 27, 2021: The festival of Sankranthi 2022 is going to be epic for Telugu cinema lovers who will witness one of the biggest Box Office clashes on the auspicious occasion. Elaborating it further, Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata will be competing with Pawan Kalyan - Rana Daggubati's yet-untitled film on Sankranthi 2022. ## Directed by Saagar K Chandra, the PSPKRana movie is said to be the official Telugu remake of the 2020 Malayalam action thriller film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The period drama film is touted to be India's one of the biggest films ever and it will feature some of the biggest stars of Indian cinema. ## Meanwhile, on Monday (July 26), India's biggest music labels - Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Lahari Music, have announced that they have bagged the music rights to SS Rajamouli's much-awaited film. Satyadev's Legal Crime Thriller Film, Thimmarusu To Release On July 30 In Theaters

Hyderabad, July 8, 2021: After four back-to-back digital releases, talented Telugu actor Satya Dev's next film will be a theatrical one. The movie, titled "Thimmarasu" is all set to release in theaters on July 30. ## The legal crime thriller film is going to be the first Telugu cinema to hit the cinema halls post the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Directed by Sharan Koppisetty, Thimmarusu is the remake of the 2019 Kannada film Birbal Trilogy Case 1: Finding Vajramuni which itself was based on the 2017 Korean movie New Trial.## Produced by Mahesh S Koneru and Yarabolu Srujan under East Coast Productions, S Originals, the movie tipped to be a legal crime thriller. It also stars Priyanka Jawalkar and Ajay in the prominant roles. Sricharan Pakala has composed the music of the film. ## Satyadev was last seen in the Netflix anthology drama film, Pitta Kathalu. Consisting of four short film segments, Satyadev featured in the 4th segment, titled "Pinky", directed by Sankalp Reddy and written by Nanda Kishore Emani. ## Meanwhile, Thimmarusu's theatrical release comes as a confidence booster for other Telugu filmmakers. As theaters are slowly opening up in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, many films are gearing up for release in theaters. Taapsee Pannu Returns To Telugu Cinema After Two Years With 'Mishan Impossible'

Hyderabad, July 6, 2021: Actress Taapsee Pannu, who started her acting career with the Telugu movie, Jhummandi Naadam, will be returning to headline another interesting project titled, Mishan Impossible, after two years of Telugu-Tamil bilingual movie, Game Over. ## Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya director Swaroop RSJ, will be directing Taapsee's new Telugu film. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram Announces His First Pan-India Movie Titled - Devil: The British Secret Agent

Hyderabad, July 5, 2021: On his 43rd birthday today, Telugu star Nandamuri Kalyan Ram announced his first Pan-India film. The actor will be starring in & as Devil, a dark mystery film directed by Naveen Medaram and produced by Abhishek Nama under the Abhishek Pictures banner. ## The film, written by Pushpa writer Srikanth Vissa, will depict an unwritten chapter from history with Nandamuri portraying a secret agent named Devil. The makers also released the first look poster of Kalyan Ram from the film, in which he can be seen in a blazer and waistcoat paired with a dhoti and he holds a short gun in his hand. ## The actor underwent a remarkable transformation to play the British Secret Agent and his dressing and look are in perfect sync with the trend in the 40s. Telangana Film Chamber Requests To Telugu Producers To Stop OTT Releases Until October

Hyderabad, July 3, 2021: Telangana film chamber of commerce has expressed concern over Telugu producers opting for the direct-to-digital release of their films amid the covid-19 pandemic. As per reports, one of the leading production houses of Telugu industry, Suresh Productions is reportadly considering its most-awaited films like Narappa, Virata Parvam, among others for direct OTT release. ## Raising concern over the latest development in the Telugu industry, the Telangana film chamber has requested the producers to stop the OTT release of their films until October. The film chamber is hopeful that theaters will be fully operational by October this year. The film chamber has warned them for a future course of action if producers continue to release their films on OTT. ## However, the chamber headed by Hon. Secretary Sunil Narang, said that "If the theaters do not open by October, you can consider OTT release". This decision has been taken keeping the larger interest of the entire Telugu Film industry, which has been hit hard by the covid-19 pandemic. ## The film chamber also appealed to the Andhra Pradesh Government to immediately make a decision about ticket rates. "The survival of theaters is at stake with such low rates. Theaters will close and many will lose employment". SS Rajamouli's RRR To Release As Scheduled Without Any Further Delay; Shoot Resumes On July 10

Hyderabad, July 2, 2021: SS Rajamouli's period action drama film, RRR, is not going to be delayed anymore. The magnum opus has been planned for a grand theatrical release on October 13 this year in 5 Indian languages, and there is no change in the release date. ## Recently, RRR makers gave an official update that apart from two songs, the shoot of Jr. NTR and Ram Charan fronted has wrapped up.
