Mumbai, June 2 - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has delivered again at the Indian box office as his latest blockbuster Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (M:I 8) has topped 100 crore gross collection, following the big success of the previous film of the franchise. ## Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the spy action thriller hit the milestone in 16 days as the total collection of the film stands at around 106 crore gross through the third Sunday (16 days). It now needs another 25 crore gross to top Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (131+ crore) to become the highest-grossing film of the franchise in India. ## The Final Reckoning is only the second movie of Tom Cruise to hit 100 crore gross in India. Pictures' supernatural horror thriller Final Destination Bloodlines has emerged as a success story and topped 50 crore gross at the Indian box office, becoming only the second Hollywood film of the year to do so. ## Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, the film has surprised the trade since day 1 with its superb collection. It grossed approximately 39 crores in the first 8-day week. Los Angeles, April 2 - John Wick is set to return for at least one more time as Lionsgate has officially confirmed the fifth installment of this action thriller franchise at the CinemaCon event 2025. ## Taking to the CinemaCon stage on Tuesday morning, Lionsgate announced John Wick 5 with star Keanu Reeves set to return as the nunchuck-wielding hitman along with director Chad Stahelski. The story for the movie has been finalized. ## Meanwhile, the action franchise is expanding with an animated prequel film and a Caine-centric standalone adventure from director-star Donnie Yen. Additionally, there is the spin-off, Ballerina starring Ana de Armas slated to hit the screens on June 6. ## The fourth instalment, John Wick: Chapter 4 of this decade-long franchise, was released in 2023 and grossed over $440 million at the worldwide box office, becoming the highest-grossing movie of the series. Los Angeles, April 1 - Sony Pictures has confirmed the official title of Marvel's Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland in the titular role at CinemaCon on Monday. ## During Sony Pictures' presentation at CinemaCon, Holland appeared in a video clip to announce that the 4th Spider-Man movie, led by him, is titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day and it is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.## The movie will be directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton, and the filmmaker promised "a ride that we haven't really seen before" with this upcoming film. The title refers to a 2008 storyline that takes place after a universe-altering event in which everyone forgot who Spider-Man was. ## The last Spider-Man movie, led by Holland, was 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, which grossed over $1.9 billion at the global box office. The studio announced the cast on Wednesday during a nearly five-and-a-half-hour live stream. ## The cast announcement drew the biggest live stream viewership of Marvel Studios ever, with 275 million digital views and 3.1 million social mentions, according to Deadline. Marvel also confirmed the viewership data on its X account and thanked Marvel fans for the massive response. ## Deadline also reported that the number is more than five times the social volume of Deadpool and Wolverine's Super Bowl trailer from last year. Marvel Studios Announces Cast of 'Avengers: Doomsday'

Los Angeles, March 27 - The Avengers have assembled once again, 6 years after Avengers Endgame emerged as one of the biggest grossers in history, as the filming of Marvel Studios' highly-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday has begun. ## On Wednesday, Marvel Studios surprised everyone when it announced the cast of the upcoming film during a nearly five-and-a-half-hour live stream. The cast of Doomsday has some surprising names, consisting of a mix of Marvel Cinematic Universe mainstays as well as actors from 20th Century Fox's now-defunct X-Men universe and upcoming stars of Fantastic Four: First Steps. ## The studio announced 26 actors who would feature in the upcoming film, and among the returning cast members from Endgame are Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Winston Duke as M'Baku. Warner Bros. 'Dune Part 2' To Re-Release In India And 'Interstellar' To Also Return; Date Announced

Mumbai, March 10 - Warner Bros. Pictures has announced the re-release of Academy Award-winning film Dune: Part 2 in India. The Denis Villeneuve's directorial sci-fi epic won the Best Sound and the Best Visual Effects Oscars at the 97th Academy Awards held recently. ## On Monday (March 10), the studio took to social media to announce that Dune 2 will re-release in Indian cinemas on March 14, also in IMAX. It will be a limited release for only 7 days, just like the studio's recently re-release title, Interstellar.## Originally released in March 2024, Dune 2 did decently at the Indian box office with a gross collection of 36+ crores ($4.10+ million). It was still among the top Hollywood grossers of the year in the country. It needs to be seen if it can cross 50 crores mark after the re-release.## Meanwhile, there are reports that Warner Bros. will also bring Interstellar back to Indian cinemas on March 14. James Cameron's 'Avatar: Fire And Ash' To Be The Longest Film In The Franchise

Los Angeles, March 9 - James Cameron's sci-fi epic Avatar: The Way of Water is among the longest films ever, with a theatrical runtime of 3 hours and 12 minutes. Well, the maverick filmmaker seems to be in no mood to make shorter films anymore, as his next is even longer. The third Avatar instalment - Avatar: Fire And Ash is set to be longer than The Way of Water, confirmed by the director himself. While the exact runtime is not revealed yet, Cameron revealed in an interview with Empire magazine that the next film will be a bit longer. The Avatar films are anyway longer than most of the Hollywood titles, as the first film of the franchise, released in 2009, was 2 hours and 58 minutes long and is the highest-grossing film in the history of the worldwide box office, while The Way of Water holds the record for the third biggest grosser ever. One can't expect less when it comes to Avatar movies, and unsurprisingly, the expectations are high from Fire And Ash, which debuts in cinemas worldwide later this year in December. Cameron has already hyped the movie by calling it better than the first two films, and it will be much higher in action. Russo Brothers Reveal Estimated Runtime of 'Avengers: Doomsday' And 'Avengers: Secret Wars'

Los Angeles, March 5 - Marvel Studios' highly-awaited Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are fast approaching their releases. Doomsday will be the first to release in 2026, followed by Secret Wars in 2027, and the Russo Brothers, who are set to direct both, have revealed the estimated runtime of both films. ## Speaking to Collider's Steve Weintraub for their upcoming film, The Electric State, the director duo teased the runtime of their high-profile Marvel blockbusters. Both films will be longer than most of the Marvel movies. The longest-running film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Avengers: Endgame (182 minutes), was directed by Russos and it was their last MCU film.## Well, the upcoming Avengers movies may not necessarily be the longest films in the MCU but they are surely going to be the closest to the longest film as according to the directors, the first one (Doomsday) is two and a half, and the second one (Secret Wars) is three hours long.## Doomsday, which is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 1, 2026, will start filming this summer. As per Russos, it will be the most radical Marvel movie to date and the audience will be shocked to see it.
