He has demanded an exclusive theatrical release for at least 100 days plus, the studio can't release another film 3 weeks before and after his movie. He also asked for total creative control over the film and set a production budget of around $100 million and equal marketing spend while asking 20 percent of first-dollar gross.## Nolan's next movie is a biopic based on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who is considered one of the developers of the atom bomb during World War II. Nolan will produce the film alongside his wife and longtime producing partner Emma Thomas for their Syncopy Inc. banner. The movie will start production in the first quarter of 2022. ## The "Inception" director's movies have always attracted audiences worldwide, resulted in, his directorial films have grossed more than US$5 billion worldwide. Wonder Woman Director Patty Jenkins Urged Hollywood Studios To Commit To Theatrical Experience

Los Vegas, August 27, 2021: Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins has once again asserted her desire to experience the movie on the big screen. The filmmaker was speaking at theater owners' confab CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday (August 26) where he urged Hollywood Studios to commit to the big-screen experience. ## "I don't know why we are talking about taking [exclusive theatrical windows] away", Jenkins said (via THR). "One studio should plant a flag and make a huge commitment to the theatrical experience and the filmmakers will go there".## Jenkins also talked about the Warner Bros. decision to release Wonder Woman 1984 simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max last year, admitting that at the time it was "the best choice of a bunch of very bad choices. It was a very, very difficult choice. It was such a dark time". Upon the release, WW84 underperformed and grossed only $166 million worldwide amid the covid-19 pandemic. ## Patty had previously said that the day-and-date release of the movies won't work a longer period of time as movie lovers wouldn't want to invest their money on more streaming platforms that are growing day by day. And Jenkins received more applause when she asserted during CinemaCon, "I'm not a fan of day-and-date and I hope to avoid it forever. … I make movies for the big screen experience".## While the cinema owners believe that the "experimentation" during the pandemic including day-and-date releases with streaming services will continue for some more time, they are confident that after some time, movie will start getting an exclusive theatrical release, which the Hollywood studios also feel, is good for the business. ## Stay tuned...
