Hyderabad, February 2 - Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna delivered the biggest hit of his career in the form of "Akhanda". NBK's third collaboration with director Boyapati Srinu hit the chord of the Telugu audience, which helped it to become one of the biggest hits of 2021. ## It was recently revealed that the sequel of this blockbuster hit was in development. Now according to reports, "Akhanda 2" is definitely on and will hit floors in early 2023. ## "The team will be bringing back the character of Akhanda in the sequel and this time around, he will be facing a bunch of new challenges in the socio-political context. There are multiple ideas to spin and the team will soon sit down to lock the draft for the sequel. The idea is to take in on floors in the first quarter of 2023", according to Pinkvilla report. ## Akhanda 2 will mark the 4th collaboration between the actor and director duo. Released on December 2 last year, the action drama is still playing in select theaters and has so far earned over Rs. 125 crores worldwide. ## Directed by Boyapati Srinu, "Akhanda" was made available on Disney Plus Hotstar on January 21, 2022, and received a blockbuster response on its digital premiere as well. According to the producers, "Akhanda" has become the all-time highest viewing Indian film in the first-24 hours.## Dwaraka Creations, the production house of the film, took to Twitter and announced the milestone achievement. Though the makers didn't share the viewing numbers, they claimed the film is most viewed in the 24-hours. 'Akhanda', which has been made on a budget believed to be the highest ever for a Balakrishna film, has done a roaring business of Rs 200 crore. Hyderabad, December 13 - Telugu movie "Akhanda" has emerged as the biggest blockbuster of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. After putting on a thundering show at the box office, the action thriller has crossed Rs. 100 crores worldwide gross and has become NBK's first film to achieve the feet. ## Directed by Boyapati Srinu, "Akhanda" already became the highest opening week grosser for NBK, earning Rs. 67.55 crores net in the extended 8-day week. The strong word of mouth helped it to maintain the pace throughout the second weekend for Rs. 9.15 crores. With total worldwide gross collection stands at Rs. 101.50 crores, including the staggering India gross of 89 crores, the movie has turned out to be a hugely profitable venture for the distributors, with an AP/TG share of 52.07 crores. ## The film is a huge blockbuster for its investors in Nizam and other areas. In Nizam alone, it fetched Rs. 17.42 crores gross over 11 days, followed by Ceded with Rs. 13.27 crores. Hyderabad, November 26 - Superstar Allu Arjun, who will be leading the upcoming film "Pushpa", will be the main guest of the pre-release event of Nandamuri Balakrishna's Telugu movie "Akhanda", which gearing up to release on December 2.## Allu Arjun shares a good rapport with "Akhanda" director Boyapati Srinu and has worked with him for the super hit movie "Sarrainodu". On the occasion of Ugadi, the much-awaited title of Nandamuri Balakrishna's upcoming actioner with director Boyapati Sreenu is out, and keeping all the speculations aside, the film is titled 'Akhanda'. The movie marks the third collaboration of the hit combo of actor-director. ## The title was announced with a 1-minute long teaser in which, Balakrishna is looking in the fierce avatar as Aghori and stealing the show with his powerful dialogue and roaring screen presence. ## Produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under the banner Dwaraka Creations, the movie stars Pragya Jaiswal as the female lead while Srikanth Meka plays the antagonist. Earlier, Sayyeshaa Saigal was supposed to romance the senior hero in the film, but later, she was replaced by the Jabalpur bombshell Pragya Jaiswal due to unknown reasons. ## While the shooting of the film is on the verge of completion, recently, the makers have shot high-octane action sequences involving Balakrishna and the principal cast at the Dandeli forest in Karnataka.
