Mumbai, March 1 - The auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri brings joy to the Indian film industry as currently in theaters movies grow further to strengthen their position at the box office. ## Among the films released during the last weekend of February, Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's "Bheemla Nayak" is doing wonders at the domestic as well as overseas box office. After scoring Rs. 85.45 crores in the first 4-days, the Saagar Chandra-directed witnessed growth on Tuesday due to the partial holiday. ## As per the early estimates, the action drama film sees a jump of 16% for Rs. 9.60 crores net on Tuesday. This pushes the total domestic net collection to an estimated Rs. 95.05 crores. The movie also crosses Rs. 100 crores gross at the Indian box office. ## Overseas, "Bheemla Nayak" is super strong, grossing approx. Rs. 25 crores so far. At the USA box office, the Pawan Kalyan-fronted movie has already crossed a magical milestone of $2 million. The total worldwide collection of the film currently stands at approx. Rs. 135 crores after 5 days. ## Meanwhile, Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's "Valimai" couldn't get the benefit of the holiday as it continues to take a further dip at the domestic box office. On Tuesday, the action thriller drops 20% for Rs. 3.80 crores net total for all languages. It dropped big on Monday for Rs. 4.75 crores. ## The Tuesday estimated, however, takes "Valimai" past Rs. 100 crores gross in India with approx. Rs. 102 crores. This has been a rarity since the pandemic that every industry of India is getting a good audience in theatres.## The first huge release was the Tamil film Valimai fronted by Ajith Kumar who enjoys a very loyal fan following in Tamil Nadu state. The film opened to unprecedented response on the first day and created an all-time opening day record and the film is holding pretty well even on day 3.## Next is the Telugu film Bheemla Nayak driven by Pawan Kalyan who is possibly the biggest star since Rajnikanth and Chiranjeevi in the southern states. Bheemla Nayak opened to an earth-shattering response and created a record in Nizam. The film is running successfully with a good hold on subsequent days.## Next is turn for the Hindi film industry with Gangubai Kathiawadi fronted by Alia Bhatt. The film took an excellent opening and surprised everyone by registering a double-digit first-day number. The film witnessed good growth on the second day and registered 14cr collections (Early Estimates). The film is looking to collect 38-40cr in the first weekend. Ajith Kumar's 'Valimai' Shorter Than Original Version To Be Screened From Second Day Onwards

Chennai, February 26 - Tamil action thriller, "Valimai", starring Ajith Kumar has opened with a bang at the box office, breaking several past records. ## Released on Feb. 24, the H Vinoth-directed has set a new record in Tamil Nadu, netting Rs. 25.30 crores on the first day. Producer Boney Kapoor has said in a recent interview that the film has come out as the best day one opening in TN on a non-holiday.## While "Valimai" mostly received a positive response from critics and audiences alike, the makers have taken note of the film's critical part, which is its prolonged run-time, especially in the second half. According to reports, Ajith Kumar, producer Boney Kapoor, and director Vinoth have taken the feedback seriously and have decided to trim the film by 14 minutes in order to make it racier. ## It is said that the Hindi version of the film gets trimmed by 15 minutes while the other version faces a 14-minutes trimming, including 2 minutes from the first half and 12 minutes from the second half. The reports state that makers have also decided to remove the first song, Naanga Vera Maari from the Hindi version. The original version was 179 minutes long which has now been reduced to 165 minutes (2 hours 45 minutes). ## "Valimai" has been praised for its high octane action sequence which, many believe, are on par with Hollywood films. The big-screen magic will be shining bright again after the moments of ups and downs in the last two years of the covid-19 pandemic. ## The last weekend of February 2022 will see three of the most-awaited Indian movies hitting theaters in the form of Ajith Kumar's "Valimai" on Feb. 24, Pawan Kalyan's "Bheemla Nayak" on Feb. 25, and Alia Bhatt-fronted "Gangubai Kathiawadi" on Feb. 25. Interestingly, all three movies will have multilingual releases, thus making things tough for one another at the box office. ## Though there are a couple of other movies too to release during the same weekend such as the Telugu movie "Aadaalloo Meeku Johaarlu", starring Sharwanand and Rashmika Mandanna, the real battle to emerge box office king, however, will be among the three aforementioned films, especially between "Valimai", and "Bheemla Nayak". ## As far as the box office numbers are concerned, Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati-starrer Telugu movie "Bheemla Nayak", might outshine the other releases. The movie is seen as the potential highest-grossing film for Pawan Kalyan. It will also be released in the Hindi dubbed version, however, that is unlikely to add extra fuel to it since there is no sign of promotion in Hindi yet. But who knows what destiny has in its store for this biggie. ## Pawan Kalyan's last film, "Vakeel Saab", opened to huge Rs. 40.10 crores net at the Indian box office. It is the biggest opening day record for a Pawan Kalyan movie to date, but it might be broken by "Bheemla Nayak". The upcoming actioner is creating more hype and buzz is surreal around it that makes this big-ticket a movie to watch out for at the box office. ## When it comes to hype and buzz, no other movie can match Ajith Kumar's Tamil tentpole "Valimai", which will be released a day before Pawan Kalyan-fronted. Ajith is one of the biggest stars in Tamil Nadu and his movies often gained a lot of attention. "Valimai" might become Ajith Kumar's biggest grosser of all time. His "Viswasam" is currently the biggest film with a worldwide collection of approx. 200 crores. ## "Valimai", directed by H Vinoth, will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada dubbed versions. It might make noise at the Hindi box office where it has to compete with Alia Bhatt-fronted "Gangubai Kathiawadi". In the Hindi circuit, "Valimai" is expected to release on over 1000 screens. It could open between Rs. 30-35 crores at the Indian box office.## The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed "Gangubai Kathiawadi" is sure to take a good opening. February End Gets Intense With Blockbuster Indian Films

Hyderabad, February 16 - The Indian film industry has started getting into a zone and things are hitting up at the box office, after a short pause caused the 3rd covid-19 wave. The biz has re-started with two mid-budget films - Ravi Teja's "Khiladi" and Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Padenkar's "Badhaai Do" on February 11, but the best is saved for the last week of February. ## Until a week ago, there was a lot of confusion regarding a few films' release dates, but now, things have become clear about what is coming ahead in this month. One thing is sure, the audience is going to be entertained like never before, and this is all beginning from February 18, on which, Malayalam biggie, "Aaraattu", starring superstar Mohanlal, is releasing in theaters. ## Along with "Aaraattu" on February 18, the Hollywood adventure movie "Uncharted" is also releasing in Indian cinemas. The movie stars Tom Holland, who is in red hot form after the blockbuster success of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in India and all across the world. "Uncharted", however, is unlikely to challenge "Aaraattu" as it won't be released in Malayalam. ## "Aaraattu" is just the beginning of what lies ahead. The real game will begin on February 24 when the long-awaited Tamil blockbuster "Valimai", starring Ajith Kumar, will debut in theaters in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. Directed by H Vinoth, "Valimai" is arguably the most anticipated Tamil movie and has been in the news since 2020. ## "Valimai", however, will have tough competition at the Hindi box office with Alia Bhatt-fronted "Gangubai Kathiawadi", which is releasing a day later on February 25. Alia Bhatt is an upcoming superstar and her latest film, which is inspired by true events, is expected to do very well at the box office. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed will also be released in Telugu. Ajay Devgn has played a cameo role in the film and his presence will surely boost its box office chances. ## "Gangubai Kathiawadi" is not the only challenge for "Valimai" as the even-bigger threat awaits for this actioner in the form of Telugu tentpole "Bheemla Nayak", which stars Power star Pawan Kalyan in the title role. "Bheemla Nayak" was speculated to move out from the Feb. release but with ease in covid-19 restrictions in Andhra Pradesh, the makers have decided to bring the movie on February 25. It is sure to take the biggest opening among the movies releasing this month. It also stars Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen, Samyukhta Menon in prominent roles. ## Among the other films releasing this month is Sharwanand and Rashmika Manadanna-starrer "Aadaalloo Meeku Johaarlu", which is also releasing on February 25.
