Director Finalized For Ranbir Kapoor-led 'Dhoom 4'

Mumbai, October 1 - In one of the biggest news, it was recently revealed that Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor would be headlining Yash Raj Films' 4th instalment of the hugely-anticipated action thriller Dhoom franchise, stepping into playing the anti-hero role which has been the USP of the franchise. ## Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, Vijay Krishna Acharya has been finalized to direct Dhoom 4. Vijay aka Victor has written the story and screenplay of the previous three films of the franchise and went on to direct Dhoom 3 (2013) which is also the highest-grossing film in the series.## It is said that Victor has also written the script for Dhoom 4 and is now also on board to helm this one, as per the Bollywood Hungama report. Yash Raj Films is yet to officially confirm the development. ## Ranbir will play the anti-hero and it is said that none of the original cast will return as Dhoom 4 is a reboot in the literal sense. In the previous three films, John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan took on the negative roles, respectively, which has been a driving force of the Dhoom franchise.## The makers looking to cast two young actors to replace Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra who have been a part of all three Dhoom films as cop baddies. Ranbir Kapoor Locked To Headline YRF's Action Thriller 'Dhoom 4'

Mumbai, September 28 - Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly been locked to headline Yash Raj Films' hugely anticipated action thriller Dhoom 4. The movie was officially announced many moons back and it is finally moving ahead with the pre-production stage. ## According to a report by Pinkvilla, the 4th instalment of the blockbuster franchise has entered the pre-production stage now at YRF under the supervision of Aditya Chopra. Ranbir Kapoor, who is riding on the monstrous success of Animal, is the newest addition to headline the franchise. ## "The discussions with Ranbir have been going on for the longest time. He had always shown interest in being a part of Dhoom 4 on hearing the basic idea and is now finally confirmed to lead the franchise. Adi Chopra feels that RK is the ideal choice to carry forward the Dhoom legacy", says the report. ## Ranbir will play the anti-hero and it is said that none of the original cast will return as Dhoom 4 is a reboot in the literal sense. In the previous three films, John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan took on the negative roles, respectively, which has been a driving force of the Dhoom franchise. ## Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra have been a part of each Dhoom movie as cop buddies but Dhoom 4 will feature two big heroes from the younger generation to replace them.
