Tom Holland-fronted 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Cast Revealed (So Far); Mark Ruffalo As Hulk To Return Among Others
Los Angeles, August 2 - Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' next offering Spider-Man: Brand New World has officially kicked off filming on August 1st. Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton has been roped in to help with this 4th instalment with Tom Holland as the titular superhero. ## As the shoot of this much-awaited biggie has kicked off, the details about the star cast are also being revealed. According to the report by The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Ruffalo is returning to reprise the role of Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, in the upcoming film. ## Along with Ruffalo, the report also revealed that Michael Mando, known for his work on Better Call Saul, is returning to reprise the role of the Scorpion, the villain character whom he first played in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, which kicked off the Holland-centric Spider-Man movies. ## Earlier, it was revealed that Jon Bernthal is set to reprise his role of the vigilante known as the Punisher. The movie will also see Zendaya returning to reprise her role as Michelle Jones-Watson, Spider-Man's love interest, but she has forgotten memories about him following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Peter Parker's former best friend, also returns for the next film. ## The Stranger Things star Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas are the new cast members of Brand New World. Charlie Cox is also rumoured to reprise his MCU role as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, a blind lawyer with superhuman senses from Hell's Kitchen, New York, who leads a double life as a masked vigilante. ## Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the fourth film in the MCU Spider-Man film series, following Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and the 38th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
