It starts airing in Asia at 5:30 AM. In the UK and Australia, it's on at 12 AM and 9 PM, respectively. ## AEW All Out 2023: Bryan Danielson vs. Ricky Starks Full Match & Recap Ricky Steamboat hopped on commentary for this match, and they played "The Final Countdown" for Danielson, which got a great reaction from the crowd, including myself. Before the match officially started, Starks attacked Danielson. He used his weight belt to whip Danielson on the floor, hitting him hard with the buckle, and that busted Danielson open. It was kinda weird that the referee, Aubrey, decided to start the match at that moment.## Starks went on to choke Danielson with the strap and dragged him around the floor, even stomping on his head while it was hanging over the ropes.## Once they got into the ring, Starks continued his beatdown, and Danielson tried to fight back with headbutts and kicks. But Starks smacked Danielson in the head with the strap. Danielson was bleeding a lot at this point. Starks wanted to do a superplex, but Danielson managed to slide through and crotch Starks. Then Danielson got some payback by choking Starks, who was stuck in the Tree of Woe. He also sent Starks out of the ring with a baseball slide, but Starks used the strap to pull Danielson back in and smack him in the face.## Starks took a moment to talk trash to Steamboat, and that allowed Danielson to post Starks, which also made him bleed. Danielson kept whipping Starks violently, and the crowd started chanting "You F’d Up." Starks got tired, and Danielson just kept whipping and kicking him until Starks couldn't take it anymore, and the crowd applauded.## Big Bill showed up and tried to attack Danielson, but Steamboat jumped off commentary and fought him off. Bill had Steamboat in his grip, but Danielson sent Starks flying onto Bill and then dove onto both of them.## Back in the ring, Danielson went for his corner dropkicks, but Starks caught him with a powerful lariat. Starks then started whipping Danielson like crazy, and the crowd loved it. Eventually, Starks got winded, and Danielson fought back with more kicks and whips until Starks couldn't handle it anymore. ## Then, Bill tried to interfere again, but Steamboat and Danielson managed to deal with him. Danielson went for his Busaiku Knee, and even though Starks kicked out, Danielson kept kicking Starks' head. Finally, he locked in the LeBell Lock, wrapping the strap around Starks' throat. Starks didn't tap; instead, he passed out, which was a pretty intense moment. ## AEW All Out 2023: Bryan Danielson vs. Ricky Starks Match Winner WINNER: Bryan Danielson ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Right as the match began, Best Friends, Andretti, and Martin worked together to toss Nese over the top onto Mark Sterling. The Mogul Embassy then took down Castle & The Boys, and chaos ensued as Komander executed a shooting star press, wiping out everyone. Serpentico tried to take on the former J.A.S. crew all by himself but ended up getting eliminated. Spears and Garcia engaged in a thrusting showdown before both targeted Aussie Open and continued their thrusting contest. As a result, Davis & Fletcher eliminated Spears. Komander's numbers caught up with him as he was eliminated by The Embassy. The Boys saved Castle from elimination but acciden tally took down Parker in a rather uneventful elimination. Castle himself was eliminated soon after. ## Martin was thrown out by Garcia & Menard, while Taylor was dumped by the Gates of Agony. Hangman eliminated Kaun, and Menard was shown being eliminated on the other side, with Sky eliminating Hager shortly afterward. Page and Beretta joined forces to dump Davis, while Sky sent Garcia out to the floor. Cage and Liona worked together to eliminate Sky, leaving Andretti, Beretta, Page, Cage, Liona, and Fletcher as the remaining participants. Fletcher & Andretti showcased their athleticism until Fletcher eliminated Andretti with a running leg lariat. Fletcher & Beretta fought on the apron, where Beretta executed a half and half suplex to eliminate Fletcher. ## Cage and Liona double-teamed Beretta until Cage threw him out with an F5, leaving Page at a disadvantage in a 2-on-1 situation. Page fought off Cage's powerbomb attempt and nailed Liona with a Buckshot before tossing him out. Cage attempted a discus lariat but ended up hitting a spinning neckbreaker instead. Both Cage and Page struggled on the apron until Page managed to execute a Dead Eye, causing Cage to fall to the floor. ## WINNER: "Hangman" Adam Page won by last eliminating Brian Cage ## Willow Nightingale, Skye Blue & Hikaru Shida Vs Athena, Diamante & Mercedes Martinez (w/Billie Starkz) ## Before the match, Martinez and Diamante didn't want Athena's minion, Starkz, with them. However, Athena convinced them otherwise. When the match kicked off, Athena tossed Diamante into the fray and left as the team argued outside the ring. Blue took advantage and hit a Blue crossbody on Diamante. Diamante briefly struggled in the corner, but Martinez's cheap shot on Blue allowed Diamante to hit a Cross Rhodes and keep Blue isolated.## Athena began trash-talking her own team, which allowed Blue to tag in Nightingale. Nightingale took control and went on the offensive against the ROH Women's Champion. The match got chaotic with Diamante taking out Nightingale, and Shida delivering a Falcon Arrow to Diamante. Martinez trapped Blue in the corner with a brutal Spider German suplex, while Nightingale charged in and met a hung-up Martinez with a cannonball.## Athena and Shida were the last ones standing, exchanging blows in a lively back-and-forth. Both were then pulled outside, with Nightingale ramming Athena into the railing. Martinez also felt the impact of the railing thanks to Nightingale before executing an assisted thrust kick Death Valley Driver on Diamante. Blue managed to hit a somewhat messy Code Blue for the win. ## WINNER: Willow Nightingale, Skye Blue & Hikaru Shida ## The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) & Daddy Ass (w/Dennis Rodman) Vs Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh (w/Karen Jarrett & Sonjay Dutt) for the AEW Trios Titles ## Before the match started, Dutt introduced his team while sporting an Isaiah Thomas Pistons jersey. Singh pretended to go for a slam dunk on a hoop but accidentally popped the basketball. Caster added some insult to injury with a rap that mentioned Rodman's association with Kim Jong Un and dubbed Jarrett's crew the 2023 Oddities. Daddy Ass clarified that Mike Posey wouldn't be the referee and brought out Aubrey Edwards, which got Karen Jarrett quite upset.## As soon as the match began, chaos ensued. Jarrett took a Scissor Me Timbers move right off the bat, followed by Caster and Bowens doing a Fargo Strut. Jarrett decided to occupy the referee, allowing Singh to land a sneaky shot on Caster and then perform a proper Fargo Strut.## After some isolation, Caster finally tagged Bowens, who unleashed a flurry of strikes on Lethal. Karen attempted to trip Bowens, but he managed to tag Daddy Ass, who engaged in a brawl with Singh. Singh hit a big boot and choke slam on Bowens. Karen tried to swing a guitar at Daddy Ass, but referee Aubrey caught her in the act and pushed her aside. This prompted Rodman to enter the ring and break the guitar over Singh. Aubrey just stood there, seemingly stunned by Rodman holding the broken guitar. Meanwhile, Lethal suffered a Fame-Asser, The Arrival, and Mic Drop, allowing the champs to retain their title. ## WINNERS: The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) & Daddy Ass (w/Dennis Rodman) ## Better Than You Bay-Bay (MJF & Adam Cole) Vs John Silver & Alex Reynolds (w/Evil Uno) for the ROH Tag Team Titles ## Cole and Silver kicked off the match with a fast-paced opening sequence, and the crowd was all in, chanting for a Kangaroo Kick and a Double Clothesline. Reynolds intervened just in time to save his partner from the latter. MJF took a moment to address the crowd, emphasizing how Reynolds had played a role in his training, which earned him a sportsmanship chant. An eye poke attempt and a Fargo Strut almost led to a Kangaroo Kick, but Silver struck MJF from behind. MJF did a good job selling the neck injury he had suffered in the main event of All In.## Evil Uno escorted the referee outside, and Reynolds took advantage, delivering a chair shot to MJF's neck. The medical staff had to check on MJF and help him to the back, leaving Cole at a disadvantage.## Cole managed to cut off Silver mid-air with an enzugiri and caught Reynolds with a superkick when he leaped at him. Inside the ring, Cole attempted the Panama Sunrise, but Silver countered with a series of kicks and a Fisherman's Buster for a near fall. Once again, the referee was taken out of the equation when Evil Uno sent Cole into the ring post. Excalibur noted that the Dark Order had found their mean streak again, a trait originally instilled by the late Brodie Lee.## Cole turned the tide by countering Silver's brainbuster into a neckbreaker on his knee. Uno taunted Cole from the corner, but Silver and Reynolds hit their Wombo Combo for a very close near fall. The crowd was fired up, and they called for and got the Double Clothesline from Silver and Reynolds. However, Cole managed to avoid it and took out both opponents. The crowd then started chanting for MJF.## Right on cue, MJF made a fiery return to the ring, against the advice of doctors, and began dominating. He pulled off a double eye poke and a double noggin knocker, drawing comparisons from Excalibur to Michael Jordan's flu game. Some miscommunication between Silver and Reynolds led to a successful Kangaroo Kick, which got a huge reaction from the crowd. Uno ate a superkick on the apron, and Cole followed up with the Double Clothesline, pinning Reynolds for the win. ## After the match, MJF attempted to walk up the ramp on his own, but Samoa Joe's music hit, and Joe pushed past MJF on the stage. Cole tried to intervene and convince his partner to let it go, but MJF couldn't resist a fight. Joe quickly applied a guillotine, and security and agents rushed the ring. Joe had a smirk on his face, and MJF was visibly upset, ultimately being escorted to the back by Cole and his crew. ## WINNER: Better Than You Bay-Bay (MJF & Adam Cole) ## Samoa Joe Vs Shane Taylor for the ROH TV Title ## Kevin Kelly predicted a short-lived encounter, comparing it to heavyweight fights that don't typically go the full 15 rounds. Both men immediately engaged in a fierce exchange of stiff strikes, with Taylor ultimately flooring Joe with a powerful lariat. The action spilled to the outside, where Taylor gained the upper hand.## Back in the ring, Taylor focused on keeping Joe grounded but only managed to secure a one-count pinfall. Joe retaliated with an enzugiri and followed it up with a massive elbow suicida. He executed his signature combination of a Manhattan Drop, big boot, and senton, but Taylor defiantly kicked out after just one count.## Taylor struck back with another devastating lariat, but while on the apron, Joe locked in a rear-naked choke. Taylor draped Joe over the ropes and executed a Tower of London stunner variation before delivering a splash for a near fall.## Taylor unleashed more punishing lariats, but Joe countered with a powerful one of his own, causing Taylor to crumble. A fierce slugfest erupted, and Joe delivered a brutal forearm and a series of knee strikes, culminating in the application of the Coquina Clutch. Taylor had no choice but to tap out. ## WINNER: Samoa Joe ## Luchasaurus (w/Christian Cage) Vs Darby Allin (w/Nick Wayne) for the TNT Title ## Jim Ross replaced Kevin Kelly on commentary prior to the match as Allin low bridged Luchasaurus, who caught a leaping Allin and launched him into the railing violently. Luchasaurus had Allin in a wheelbarrow and swung him into the ring steps as Cage ordered to finish him, as Allin is bleeding. Luchasaurus trapped Allin under the steps and proceeded to walk up them with Allin screaming in pain. Finally in the ring, Luchasaurus hit a spinning side suplex and wild headbutt to a charging Allin. After a choke slam attempt, Allin back flipped out and hit a springboard cross-body. Allin tried a follow up cross body off the top, but bounced off Luchasaurus like a ball. ## Allin battled back, set up Luchasaurus on a chair outside and did a somersault dive from the top to the floor and just clipped Luchasaurus enough to avoid disaster. Back inside, Luchasaurus almost hit a Torture Rack backbreaker, but Allin countered into a Crucifix Bomb for two. Allin wanted a Coffin Splash, but Luchasaurus caught him into a release German that dropped Allin right on his head. Cage demanded Wayne throw the towel in for Allin, who was locked in a Torture Rack. Allin flipped free and wiped out Cage with a low tope before getting caught in the Luchasaurus clutches coming back in. ## Allin bit free from the grasps and hit an Avalanche Code Red which Luchasaurus did not kick out in time for, as Rick Knox had to pull the count and the crowd was pissed. Allin went to the top, but Cage clocked Wayne with a chair shot in the back and Cage said he was going to hit a Con-Chair-To if Allin leapt. Luchasaurus cut Allin off in the corner and hit multiple Tombstone Piledrivers before hitting a Snake Eyes and lariat to the back of the head to retain the title. Post match, Cage threw Wayne into the ring and forced him to watch as Cage was about to hit a Con-Chair-To when Shawn Spears, Carlie Bravo, Shawn Dean, Trent Baretta, Acion Andretti, Ethan Pageand others made the save with Cage & Luchasaurus bailing with Cage clutching the TNT Title. ## WINNER: Luchasaurus (w/Christian Cage) ## Miro Vs Powerhouse Hobbs ## Both competitors showed their strength by taking each other down to the mat after early lock-ups. Miro relentlessly unleashed a barrage of corner strikes, but when he attempted a lariat, Hobbs stood his ground and responded with a lariat of his own. Miro quickly rebounded with a precise dropkick, using his agility to his advantage. Hobbs, on the other hand, relied on his incredible power, executing an overhead belly-to-belly throw and maintaining control with another powerful throw. ## Hobbs missed a corner charge and ended up outside the ring, where Miro met him with a somersault senton off the apron. Miro wasted no time driving Hobbs repeatedly into the railing, but Hobbs slapped Miro in the face and attempted to wear him down upon returning to the ring. Miro fought back, and both men collided with force as they charged into the ropes. The crowd chanted "Meat!" after each collision. Miro delivered a series of lariats, with Hobbs refusing to go down until Miro wound up and finally dropped him. ## Miro channeled his inner Sheamus and unleashed 10 corner forearms in the ropes until Hobbs countered and executed a front face suplex in the ring. Hobbs attempted to climb the ropes, but Miro intercepted him and executed a massive superplex that had the crowd on their feet. ## Miro landed his signature thrust kick but missed a second one, allowing Hobbs to respond with a spinning powerslam for a two-count. Hobbs retaliated to the earlier lariats by delivering multiple lariats of his own, but Miro ultimately flattened him with one of his own and followed up with the thrust kick for another two-count. ## Miro signaled for Game Over, but Hobbs summoned the strength to power out of it. He backpacked Miro and drove him into the corner. Hobbs caught a leaping Miro with a spinebuster, coming tantalizingly close to victory. Hobbs attempted to apply Game Over, but Miro countered with a spinebuster of his own before locking in the Game Over submission hold tightly. Hobbs had no choice but to tap out. ## WINNER: Miro ## After the match, both competitors shared a sportsmanlike handshake. However, Hobbs took advantage of the situation by launching a surprise attack on Miro from behind, attempting to choke him out. That's when we witnessed the debut of Miro's wife, CJ Perry (formerly known as Lana). Her entrance received a thunderous ovation from the crowd as she entered the ring and struck Hobbs in the back with a chair. Surprisingly, Hobbs didn't show any pain and turned his back, which allowed Miro to recover and deliver chair shots to both Hobbs' back and head. ## Perry wore a smile as she looked at her husband, but Miro appeared confused and conflicted. He left her in the ring, yelling that she's not real as he walked away. ## Kris Statlander Vs Ruby Soho (w/Saraya) for the TBS Title ## Soho made her entrance with her Rancid theme for this match, while Statlander opted for a humorous Derek Zoolander impression with her "Blue Steel" pose during her entrance. Both wrestlers began by trying to outdo each other with displays of strength and posing, with neither giving an inch. Soho's attempt at a corner charge missed, allowing Statlander to connect with an awkward running knee. Statlander then sent Soho crashing into the ringside railing and briefly chased after Saraya, which gave Soho an opportunity to strike with a missile dropkick from the apron. Inside the ring, Soho managed to keep Statlander grounded and disrupted her momentum with a well-executed heel trip, leading to a two-count pinfall attempt.## Statlander battled back with a series of kicks, including a desperation No Future kick that left both competitors down on the mat. She continued to thwart Soho's corner charges, ultimately treating her to a violent flurry of strikes in the corner. Statlander followed up with a sharp snap powerslam and executed her spinning fisherman's driver for a close near fall. She then applied a Gory Special, but Soho countered into a roll-up and cradle for another two-count.## Soho managed to counter Statlander's Sunday Night Fever move into a roll-up attempt, and both competitors collided mid-air with cross body attempts, leading to a brief reset. Meanwhile, Saraya took the liberty of tearing up a fan's sign at ringside.## In the heat of the action, Statlander hit what could be described as an Avalanche Tour of the Islands for an extremely close two-count. She then hoisted Soho into a fireman's carry position, but Soho cleverly turned it into a Poison Rana, followed by a DDT and a low hurricanrana that nearly secured her the win. ## Statlander, however, managed to execute a Blue Thunder Bomb, and despite Saraya's taunts, Soho kicked out. Saraya took the referee's attention, allowing Soho to attempt to use spray paint as a weapon. But out of nowhere, Toni Storm made her presence felt, snatching the can away from Soho. Seizing the opportunity, Statlander delivered Sunday Night Fever to Soho, securing the victory. ## WINNER: Kris Statlander ## Bryan Danielson vs. Ricky Starks in a No DQ Strap Match ## Ricky Steamboat hopped on commentary for this match, and they played "The Final Countdown" for Danielson, which got a great reaction from the crowd, including myself. ## WINNER: Bryan Danielson ## Kenny Omega vs. Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis) in a Singles match ## Omega wore DDT-inspired gear for this match. Takeshita seemed to have the upper hand in the early stages, dropping Omega on his neck with a high-angle backdrop driver that sent Omega rolling out of the ring. Takeshita followed up with a running boot, but Omega countered with a move called "You Can't Escape" on the floor. ## Back inside the ring, Omega punted Takeshita and then executed his dunk slam, locking in the Indian Deathlock. They exchanged slaps, but Takeshita resorted to an eye poke. Takeshita managed to hit his Takeshita-line move, but when he tried for a hurricanrana, Omega blocked it and sent Takeshita face-first into the turnbuckle. They ended up back on the floor, and this time, Takeshita hit a brainbuster and brought out some chairs, but the referee scolded him.## With the referee distracted, Don Callis stacked the chairs on top of Omega. Takeshita capitalized by hitting a senton over the top onto the chairs. Takeshita taunted Omega and then landed a Helluva Kick and a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two-count. ## Takeshita continued to target Omega until Omega got his knees up when Takeshita attempted a top-rope senton. Omega then hit a jumping knee, followed by two Snap Dragons, a knee strike, and a Poison Rana for a near fall. They both escaped each other's attempts at German suplexes and traded pumping knee strikes. Takeshita turned the tide with a powerful lariat that turned Omega inside out. Omega managed to float out of a powerbomb and countered with one of his own, followed by a knee strike. ## Omega connected with a V-Trigger, but Takeshita countered Omega's One Winged Angel into a move called a "Crunchie." Omega was struggling to use his legs and started swinging wildly. He connected with enough strikes to briefly regain control, but Takeshita fought back with forearms, and Omega resorted to a desperation lariat. ## In the corner, Omega landed a leaping V-Trigger and attempted an Avalanche One Winged Angel, but Takeshita escaped and hit an impressive Avalanche Blue Thunder Bomb for a very close near fall. Takeshita then executed his Power Drive Knee move, but Omega somehow kicked out, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Takeshita exposed his knee and delivered a devastating knee strike to Omega, causing him to crumble, and Takeshita secured the pin, shocking the crowd. ## WINNER: Konosuke Takeshita ## Jay White, Juice Robinson & The Gunns (Austin & Colten) Vs FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) & The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) ## Colten and Wheeler started things off with a quick-paced opening sequence. Austin tagged in and used his speed to gain a brief advantage, but Wheeler responded with arm drags and a hurricanrana. The Bucks, while making quick tags, received boos from the United Center crowd. Nevertheless, they embraced the reaction and performed their double team moves. ## Harwood and White entered the fray, continuing from where they left off on Collision for a short while until Robinson tagged in and focused on Harwood. The Gunns and Robinson were caught up in some posturing, allowing Harwood to deliver chops to everyone. FTR then isolated White, taking control once again. White managed to chop block Wheeler's leg, shifting the momentum before all eight men engaged in a showdown that led to a brawl. ## A quadruple atomic drop sent all of Bullet Club Gold crashing into each other, and FTR and The Bucks applied Sharpshooters simultaneously. Referee Rick Knox intervened to restore order, but it allowed Harwood to be stuck in the wrong corner once more, isolated for an extended period. Harwood eventually broke free and tagged in Nick, who garnered a mixed reaction of cheers and boos. The Bucks unleashed their signature offense, with Nick taking the lead. ## The Bucks gained momentum until Wheeler blocked a superkick from Matt and instead delivered a double superkick to Austin. Nick attempted a slingshot face buster and a moonsault to the floor, but he inadvertently cleared Juice on his way. Matt and Harwood executed a spike piledriver on Austin, but the pin was broken up. ## The match descended into chaos, with Bullet Club Gold attempting a triple superplex, but White, Robinson, and Colten all ended up crotched. This set the stage for a Power-Plex, Elbow Drop, and 450 Splash combo from FTR and The Bucks. Everyone started hitting dives, leaving Austin and Harwood in the ring, colliding with a double clothesline. Counter after counter followed during the finisher attempts until Nick and Wheeler executed a Shatter Machine, while Matt and Harwood hit BTE Trigger on White, but it only earned them a two-count. ## Colten delivered a Fame-Asser to Matt outside the ring, and White hit Wheeler with the Blade Runner. Colten capitalized on the situation and secured the pin. Post-match, Nick told Wheeler that he was late in breaking up the pin. ## WINNER: Jay White, Juice Robinson & The Gunns (Austin & Colten) ## Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Jon Moxley: Singles match for the AEW International Championship ## The BCC and Best Friends, along with Kris Statlander, accompanied the champion and challenger backstage before their entrances. Cassidy started strong, but Moxley managed to avoid the Orange Punch and delivered several suplexes. Cassidy made a comeback on the apron, landing a crossbody, but Moxley countered and stomped on his face repeatedly. Cassidy then pulled off a Stundog Millionaire and dove outside. When Cassidy attempted his DDT, Moxley turned it into an inside-out suplex. Moxley roughed up Cassidy on the outside, threw him into the ring post, causing Cassidy to bleed. Moxley even bit at Cassidy's head, which was pretty gross. ## Moxley relentlessly attacked Cassidy with crossface strikes, while Cassidy tried to fight back, with Moxley mocking him by mimicking putting his hands in his pockets. Moxley attempted a superplex, but Cassidy turned the tables by raking Moxley's back and biting his head. Cassidy followed with a diving DDT and a spinning DDT. Moxley evaded the Orange Punch with jabs, but Cassidy surprised him with a PK kick followed by an Orange Punch for a two-count. Moxley turned a Beach Break into a Gotch Style Piledriver, and Cassidy nearly scored a quick crucifix pin, but Moxley locked in a rear naked choke. After a struggle, Cassidy reached the ropes and rolled to the outside, where Moxley removed the mats to expose the hard floor. ## Cassidy countered a piledriver attempt and hit a Beach Break on the exposed floor, followed by a dropkick that sent Moxley's head into the steel steps. Moxley barely beat the count, but Cassidy landed multiple Orange Punches, with the third one being blocked into a Cutter by Moxley. Cassidy countered Death Rider into another Orange Punch and a massive Spear for a near fall. Cassidy's pocket offense grew more intense, firing up the crowd until Moxley hit a powerful lariat. Cassidy no-sold it, so Moxley hit another for a two-count. Finally, Death Rider connected, but Cassidy just barely managed to lift his shoulder. ## Cassidy, dripping with blood, got to his feet, flipped off Moxley, and then Moxley finished him off with a decisive Death Rider to claim the title. The BCC celebrated with Moxley on the ramp, holding the International Title, while Cassidy remained in the ring to recover, with the Chicago crowd chanting his name. The show ended with the fans continuing to chant for Cassidy. ## WINNER: Jon Moxley via pinfall ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Additionally, Jay White is set to face Dax Harwood in a match. To add to the excitement, Ricky Starks is challenging Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat to a strap match. ## AEW Collision Results September 2, 2023: AEW Collision started with Tony Khan talking honestly about the CM Punk situation. He mentioned that the confrontation posed risks to people, including the production team and himself. Following advice from legal advisors and an AEW discipline committee, he decided to let go of CM Punk. Dave's take on this can be heard on Wrestling Observer Radio and is highly recommended. ## Ricky Starks/Ricky Steamboat segment ## Tony Schiavone kicked off the entertainment part of the show by bringing Ricky Starks into the ring. Starks entered with a hefty weight belt, and he was joined by Big Bill.## Schiavone questioned Starks about his challenge to Ricky Steamboat, a 70-year-old man, for a strap match, and asked if he was crazy. Starks responded that he was tired of starting over and was determined to rebuild. He expressed his pride in Big Bill and encouraged him to pursue his goals.## Starks then connected this to his issue with Steamboat, mentioning that he was suspended for 28 days and missed All In because of it. He wanted an answer from Steamboat. Steamboat's classic WCW theme played, and he appeared with a clipboard. Steamboat stated that he never complained about losing to Starks on social media but had heard about Starks wanting this match through the same platform.## Steamboat explained that he had a contract with both their names, indicating a match between Ricky Starks and "The Dragon." However, it seemed that Bryan Danielson might be the Dragon in question instead of Ricky Steamboat. Danielson made his way to the ring.## Babyface Bryan Danielson returned to save AEW All Out with Moxley, Orange Cassidy, and a few others. Fans chanted at Starks as he made a pledge, and it brought laughter. Bryan Danielson and Ricky Starks are set to have a strap match at AEW All Out tomorrow night. It was an exciting turn of events.## Jon Moxley delivered a promo about Orange Cassidy, acknowledging Cassidy's impressive run and calling him the real deal. Moxley highlighted the rarity of facing someone on such a run and emphasized the difference between real wrestlers and fake ones who seek an easy way out when things get tough. He expressed hope that Cassidy wouldn't back down. This promo was fantastic. ## AEW Trios Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed (Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, & Billy Gunn) Vs 2point0 (Matt Menard & Angelo Parker) & Daniel Garcia to retain ## Bowens began the match against Parker and swiftly sent him out of the ring. Parker made a quick tag to Garcia, who squared off with Billy Gunn. Garcia dodged a chop and started dancing in the middle of the ring, followed by a taunt to Billy Gunn. However, Gunn landed a punch that brought Garcia to his knees, and Gunn celebrated with some dance moves of his own. ## Garcia gained the upper hand on Bowens after Jake Hager intervened by pulling Caster and Gunn away from the apron. Garcia then applied the Dragon Tamer submission hold on Bowens, with Parker and Menard holding Caster at bay. Gunn eventually managed to break up the submission, but not before Bowens suffered significant damage. ## Bowens countered with an enziguri on Garcia and tagged Caster back in, who briefly had the advantage before facing Menard. During this exchange, Nigel McGuinness humorously remarked, "Where did he get that name, Daddy Magic?" Kevin Kelly suggested it might be from Jericho, to which McGuinness quipped, "I thought it was prison." ## Caster then tagged Gunn back in, and Gunn went on a rampage, tagging Caster once more to finish the match with a flying elbow for the victory. ## WINNER: AEW Trios Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed (Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, & Billy Gunn) ## Backstage, The Dark Order had a chat with Lexy Nair. She asked them about their upcoming match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship against MJF and Adam Cole. John Silver grumbled about his buddy Budge teaming up with MJF, and Alex Renyolds mentioned that he had a hand in training MJF. He expressed pride in his student's success but also stated his intention to show MJF what it truly meant to be a champion. ## Later, Ricky Starks crossed paths with Tony Schiavone backstage. Starks confidently declared that tomorrow night's challenge against Bryan Danielson wouldn't be any different from any other he had faced, and he was determined to come out on top. ## Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) Vs Nick Wayne & Komander w/ Alex Abrahantes ## Aussie Open swiftly focused their attention on Komander, keeping him in the ring and working him over for a few minutes. Komander managed to turn the tide by delivering a jawbreaker to Davis and skillfully flipping out of a back suplex. He also dodged a corner charge and made a tag to Wayne. ## Wayne sprang into action, landing a superkick on Davis and executing an Asai DDT on Fletcher. He then took the fight to the outside, performing a tope con giro on Davis. Wayne continued his assault by hitting a frog splash on Fletcher, but it resulted in a close 2-count. Wayne signaled for his OsCutter move but was thwarted by Fletcher, who countered with a half-and-half suplex. ## Davis tagged in and prepared to slam Wayne with a crucifix bomb, but Komander intervened with a superkick to Fletcher. Davis still managed to put Wayne down and caught Komander as he attempted a Code Breaker, powerbombing him in the process. Davis didn't stop there; he threw Komander back into the air and finished with a piledriver. ## Regrettably for Wayne, he faced a barrage of forearms from both members of Aussie Open. Wayne attempted his OsCutter, also known as Wayne's World, on both Aussie Open members, but they caught him and executed a move called Coriolis, sealing their victory. ## WINNER: Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) ## Tony Schiavone conducted an interview with Wayne after the match. Wayne expressed his frustration at the loss but couldn't help but think about how Darby Allin had forgiven AR Fox for their past issues. Darby then came to the ring and shared a story about Nick Wayne's presence during a fight between Darby and Buddy Wayne. This fight had led to a three-year estrangement between Darby and the Wayne family. Unfortunately, Buddy Wayne passed away during this time, and Darby had to live with that. Darby emphasized the importance of forgiveness because you never know how much time is left. He then asked Wayne to be in his corner on Sunday.## Christian made his entrance and teased jokingly about reaching out to Nick Wayne's mother. He suggested that Nick Wayne was just a personal project for Darby Allin and pointed out that he was not the TNT Champion. Christian warned that on Sunday, Nick Wayne should be prepared to throw in the towel because Allin would need it. It was a solid promo from Christian.## Claudio Castagnoli had a backstage segment with Wheeler Yuta, congratulating Kingston on defeating Yuta and downplaying its significance by mentioning how the BCC beat up Yuta regularly. Castagnoli punctuated each line with a European uppercut and discussed his plans to beat Kingston with Yuta at the PPV.## Eddie Kingston, accompanied by Katsuyori Shibata, responded by mocking Castagnoli for beating up Yuta and Yuta for taking it. He claimed that Castagnoli couldn't look at him because he was afraid. Kingston asked Shibata for his opinion, and Shibata used Google Translate on his phone to show a message that read, "You both suck!" Kingston had a good laugh. These were two great promos.## Lexy Nair interviewed Saraya & Ruby Soho, with Soho reminiscing about her AEW Women's World Championship win and confidently stating her intention to capture the TBS Championship at AEW All Out. Nair inquired about Toni Storm, and Soho assured her that Storm was fine, despite being half-naked in the parking lot throwing her shoes at birds. Soho reiterated that everything was fine within the Outcasts and promised to demonstrate it in their trios match later in the night.## Tony Schiavone introduced Dennis Rodman, who made his way to the ring. Before Rodman could speak, Jeff Jarrett and his crew interrupted and joined him in the ring. Jarrett expressed his pleasure at seeing Rodman, reminiscing about their time in WCW together and claiming to be the leader of the NWO. He presented Rodman with a proposition, but Rodman initially brushed it off.## However, Rodman eventually agreed and suggested he could take on Satnam Singh. Sonjay Dutt, displaying a new shirt with Rodman's face on it, approached Rodman, who shoved Dutt. Jarrett, Lethal, and Singh attempted to attack Rodman, but The Acclaimed rushed in to make the save. The Acclaimed then challenged Jarrett, Lethal, and Singh to a trios title match the following night.## A video package highlighted Shane Taylor, concluding with him vowing to reclaim his title as he executed the Greetings from Asbury Park on Keith Lee.## Samoa Joe delivered a fiery promo, stating that he would give Shane Taylor a reality check at AEW All Out. Joe mentioned that Taylor might hope for the performance of a lifetime but would ultimately regret crossing paths with him. Joe asserted that Taylor might want to knock him out, but Joe would make an example of him and ensure he regretted uttering his name. It was an awesome promo. ## Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander Vs The Outcasts (Saraya, Ruby Soho, & Toni Storm) ## Toni Storm kicked off the match against Statlander, and they traded shoulder tackles. Statlander displayed more power, while Storm showed greater speed. However, Storm's quickness didn't prove beneficial when she ran into a body slam. Storm resorted to pulling Statlander's hair and attempted a hip attack in the corner. Unfortunately, she wasted too much time, allowing Statlander to recover and counter with a dropkick before tagging in Baker. ## Baker executed a sling blade and tagged in Shida, who delivered a powerful forearm to Soho. Baker held Saraya's arms back while Shida aimed for a forearm, but Saraya dodged, nearly causing Shida to hit Baker. This created an opportunity for Saraya and Soho to double-team Shida behind the referee's back. Storm tagged in and delivered a brutal hip attack to Shida in the corner. ## Saraya took advantage of the distracted referee to slam Shida into the announce table, and Soho brought her back into the ring. Shida eventually fought back, landing an enziguri on Storm and making the tag to Statlander, who unleashed her power against both Saraya and Soho. Statlander executed a blue thunder bomb on Saraya, but Soho broke up the pin attempt. ## In the closing moments, all six women exchanged moves. Saraya superkicked Baker, but Statlander responded with a powerslam. Storm tried to break up the pin but inadvertently landed on Saraya. Saraya tagged out to Baker, who hit a fisherman's neckbreaker on Soho. However, Baker fell victim to spray paint in the face from Saraya, allowing Soho to secure the victory with No Future. ## WINNER: Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander ## Powerhouse Hobbs Vs GPA ## This match was incredibly quick. Hobbs dominated and finished it with a spinebuster. The match ended so swiftly that his music started playing just seconds after it concluded. ## WINNER: Powerhouse Hobbs ## Miro's music played, and he entered the ring in his wrestling attire, immediately engaging in a brawl with Hobbs. The fight spilled out to ringside, where Hobbs tossed Miro into the ring steps, while Miro retaliated by sending Hobbs over the railing into the crowd. After this brief but intense altercation, Hobbs slowly backed away, receiving cheers from the crowd for the intense encounter. ## Following a rundown of the AEW All Out card, an incredible hype video played, featuring Konosuke Takeshita and Kenny Omega, set to the tune of "God's Gonna Cut You Down." It was a truly fantastic video. ## Backstage, Orange Cassidy was seated and expressed his reluctance to speak at the moment. However, he felt compelled to talk about his upcoming title match, unlike anything he had experienced before. He reflected on his previous matches against PAC and Will Ospreay, demonstrating that he belonged in AEW. Now, he faced Jon Moxley, the very man who carried AEW on his shoulders during challenging times. Cassidy vowed to relieve Moxley of that burden and carry it himself as the AEW International Champion. It was an awesome promo. ## Jay White (w/ Juice Robinson, Austin & Colten Gunn) Vs Dax Harwood (w/ Cash Wheeler) ## Harwood and White kicked things off with some classic wrestling moves, even adding a humorous moment where Harwood got the crowd to cheer for him while he had White in an abdominal stretch. White gained the upper hand by executing a headlock suplex into the corner. As the Gunns and Robinson tried to interfere, Wheeler rushed in with a chair, scaring them away. ## The referee scolded Robinson, who retorted with, "He has a chair, you idiot!" It was a fair point since the referee didn't see anything beyond the chair in play. White later hit a DDT on Harwood for a two-count. Harwood responded with a superplex shortly after but missed a diving headbutt. During a break in the action, JR, Nigel, and Kelly discussed the hardest chops they had ever seen, giving a shout-out to Wahoo McDaniel. ## Harwood attempted a slingshot suplex, but White countered by necking him on the ropes to escape. White returned to the ring but was met with a German suplex from Harwood, who followed up with a brainbuster for another two-count. Harwood dished out a punishing chop to White on the floor, and then went for another diving DDT, but White managed to get to the apron. Harwood's chop was so forceful that it sent White back into the ring over the ropes. ## White retaliated with a dragon screw on the ropes as Harwood tried to re-enter. White then executed a backdrop driver and a Death Valley Driver for a two-count. A clothesline from White was answered with a hard-hitting one from Harwood that left White on his head. Harwood cleverly dodged some punches, feigned an attack, and hit a piledriver for a two-count. ## White sent Harwood crashing into the metal post between the ropes, followed by a uranage for another two-count. White attempted the Blade Runner, but Harwood blocked it by grabbing the ropes. White countered with a slingshot powerbomb as he shouted "No!" ## Harwood locked in a sharpshooter on White, who eventually reached the ropes. The other members of Bullet Club Gold pulled White out of the ring, and as Harwood confronted them, White made a recovery and executed a Blade Runner on the floor. Harwood managed to cradle White when they returned to the ring, but White kicked out and swiftly countered with a Blade Runner for the pinfall victory. ## WINNER: Jay White (w/ Juice Robinson, Austin & Colten Gunn) ## It appears we might witness another showdown between Juice Robinson and Jay White, possibly at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. ## After the match, the Bullet Club attacked Wheeler and began assaulting FTR. In a dire situation, the Young Bucks rushed in to rescue FTR. Following the intervention, the Bucks extended a handshake to FTR, but FTR declined. Some fans in a small section started chanting "CM Punk," although their voices were mostly drowned out by the rest of the crowd. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Bowens quickly caught on and cut short his introduction. They teamed up against Bronson, launching a double assault before Boulder entered the fray. Despite their onslaught, the burly Boulder weathered their attacks and countered with a combo move, performing a Samoan Drop followed by a fallaway slam, just as we went into a commercial break. ## As we returned from the break, Caster managed to evade Bronson's hefty splash. Bowens got the tag and unleashed controlled chaos, taking charge until Boulder abruptly launched him with a flapjack maneuver. The Savages executed a tandem Main Event Spinebuster on Bowens, almost securing a pinfall that was interrupted by Caster's intervention. The Savages aimed for their impressive Tower Splash, but Caster intervened again, dropkicking Bronson off Boulder's shoulders. Caster executed a Death Valley Driver on Boulder, paving the way for the Acclaimed to deliver Scissor Me Timbers on the meddlesome Jameson. Wrapping up their offense, the Acclaimed struck with a dual Fameasser on the Savages, and Caster secured the victory with the pinfall. ## WINNER: The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) ## Following the match, Caster took hold of the microphone and declared their upcoming appearance on this Wednesday's Dynamite. He emphasized their connection with Billy Gunn's spirit, which they believe will drive them back to the top. Bowens chimed in, noting that the audience never had the chance to bid farewell to Gunn. To pay tribute, he encouraged everyone to raise the scissors gesture. ## In the backstage area, Lexy Nair caught up with Bullet Club Gold. They boasted about their recent achievements, with White asserting that their current rendition of Bullet Club is the most superior. White pointed out that while some may label themselves as elite, they lack the rightful claim. The Young Bucks, too, cannot be regarded as the supreme brother tag team in wrestling, as that title belongs to the Gunns. The Gunns are set to make their presence felt on Dynamite this Wednesday to assert this. ## A video montage recounted the history between MJF & Adam Cole, fueling anticipation for the main event at Wembley. ## Diamante & Mercedes Martinez Vs TBS Champion Kris Statlander & Willow Nightingale ## Statlander and Diamante kicked things off, with Diamante maintaining control by keeping Statlander grounded until Statlander managed to catch her with a crossbody. Nightingale tagged in, delivering a swift low crossbody for a close nearfall. Martinez intervened, holding onto Diamante to counter a Pounce attempt. Diamante capitalized with a basement dropkick, seizing the momentum. Martinez then ensnared Nightingale in a Paradise Lock, striking a pose alongside Diamante. They teamed up for a double-dropkick, releasing Nightingale from the hold just before the commercial break. ## As we returned from the break, Nightingale valiantly fought off a two-on-one assault. She executed a main event spinebuster on Diamante, who crashed onto Martinez. Nightingale promptly tagged in the TBS Champion, Statlander, who surged with energy. Together, Statlander and Nightingale executed synchronized sentons. Martinez, however, hurled Statlander into Nightingale, causing Nightingale to tumble off the apron. In a swift follow-up, Martinez launched Diamante onto her adversaries on the outside. ## The contest gradually evolved into a Pier Four melee. Ultimately, Martinez managed to secure a pinfall victory over Nightingale, assisted by Diamante's leverage. ## WINNER: Diamante & Mercedes Martinez ## ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe Vs Andrew Everett ## Riccaboni let us know that Joe was just a fortnight away from hitting the 500-day mark as the TV Champion in this reign. Everett demonstrated his nimbleness, yet Joe efficiently subdued him with the Coquina Clutch. ## Post-match, Joe grabbed the mic, recalling his challenge to CM Punk from the previous week. He was met with the resounding quietude of a coward. He extended the courtesy of asking for the match, but now he intends to compel Punk to accept. ## WINNER: ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe ## The TNT Champion Speaks ## After the announcers outlined the current All In card, TNT Champion Luchasaurus & Christian Cage entered the ring. They revisited Luchasaurus' recent attack on Darby Allin during the last Rampage episode, an incident that even brought a young girl in the crowd to tears. Christian playfully ribbed the audience, jesting that they often ranked second best in many aspects. He cited examples like Michael Jordan, who was second to LeBron James in basketball greatness, and Ric Flair, who Christian humorously implied was runner-up to himself. ## Shifting his focus to Darby Allin, Christian emphasized that as long as he holds the TNT Championship, Allin won't ever capture that title. He playfully speculated that Allin's half-painted face reflected his partially dead inside nature. Christian warned that if Allin continued to pursue him, he'd ensure to complete the job and extinguish the remaining 50% of his spirit. ## Arn & Brock Anderson then made their entrance, claiming this territory as Horsemen Country. Arn reminded Luchasaurus of his previous TNT Championship reign before Christian interjected. He pointed out that he and Luchasaurus had previously taken down the Andersons a few months back, to which Arn confirmed that they hadn't forgotten. Brock charged into the ring, and the match was officially underway. ## TNT Championship: Luchasaurus (c) Vs Brock Anderson ## Riccaboni, on commentary, informed us that Tony Khan had approved this as a TNT Title bout, in response to Christian's willingness to take on Anderson's open challenge for the night. Luchasaurus asserted control over Anderson prior to the commercial break. Returning from the pause, Anderson managed a modest resurgence before Luchasaurus countered with a decisive chokeslam. Luchasaurus sealed the deal with a rabbit lariat to successfully retain his championship. ## WINNER: Luchasaurus ## Powerhouse Hobbs Speaks ## In the ring, Tony Schiavone introduced Powerhouse Hobbs. Hobbs mentioned a recent opportunity that emerged for a significant match at All Out in Chicago. He acknowledged feeling a bit distracted lately, leading him to return home and delve into what he termed the Book of Hobbs. This next chapter, titled "Redemption," became his focus. To redeem himself after losing the TNT Title and coming up short in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, Hobbs declared his intention to challenge The Redeemer. He then called out Miro for a confrontation. ## Miro emerged, but found himself ambushed by Nick Comoroto & Aaron Solo, who were associated with QT Marshall. Miro efficiently handled them, only to be caught off-guard by a main event spinebuster from Hobbs. As Hobbs departed the scene, he left the Book of Hobbs placed on Miro's prone form. ## The Dynamite card for the upcoming Wednesday was outlined, featuring Orange Cassidy vs. Wheeler Yuta for the AEW International Championship, along with the official confirmation of The Gunns facing off against The Young Bucks. Additionally, the next week's Collision lineup was revealed, featuring Darby Allin vs. Christian Cage and a match between Diamante and Willow Nightingale. ## AEW World Trios Title Match: The House Of Black (Brody King, Buddy Matthews & Malakai Black) (w/Julia Hart) (c) Vs CMFTR (Cash Wheeler, CM Punk & Dax Harwood) ## Jim Ross joined the commentary team for this main event. Punk made his entrance to the usual mixed reaction. Early on, Punk and FTR gained the upper hand with swift moves against Matthews. King joined the action after holding onto Matthews during an Irish Whip and making a tag. The crowd cheered for King as he went on the offensive against Harwood, who countered with a low dropkick. The challengers teamed up to target King, eventually double dropkicking him out of the ring.## Malachi Black tagged in to face Punk, leading to a strong reaction from the crowd. Black sent FTR off the apron but encountered a Go To Sleep attempt. Black managed to evade it and aimed for Black Mass, yet Punk cleverly ducked and assumed a cross-legged sitting position. Black mirrored the pose before a chaotic Pier Six brawl erupted, prompting a commercial break.## Upon returning from the break, Matthews executed a rope-assisted DDT on Harwood. The House of Black maintained control by isolating Harwood. However, Harwood turned the tables with a DDT on Black. Punk entered the ring, launching a fierce assault on Matthews with a rising knee strike, followed by high kicks to both Black and Matthews. Punk delivered a Rainmaker to Matthews before ascending the ropes for an elbow drop. Julia Hart diverted the referee's attention, allowing Black to catch Punk on the top rope. King tagged in, delivering a cannonball before another commercial break.## Upon resuming, the House of Black continued isolating Punk. Punk caught Matthews by surprise with a sudden GTS before tagging in Wheeler. Wheeler took charge against King and Black, with Harwood's assistance leading to all three champions being sent outside the ring. Wheeler executed an impressive dive to the floor, followed by a top-rope bulldog on King, narrowly missing a pinfall.## King overpowered FTR, executing a double suplex. Harwood managed to interrupt King as he climbed the ropes. FTR executed a double superplex, followed by Punk's elbow drop for a close nearfall. Employing a trio's Shatter Machine, they targeted King. In came Matthews and Black, sparking a multi-person brawl that left everyone down. Punk executed a dive onto Matthews outside the ring, but Samoa Joe intervened, dragging Punk into the crowd and choking him out. ## Hart created a distraction, allowing King to land a discus lariat on Harwood, securing the victory. ## WINNER: The House Of Black (Brody King, Buddy Matthews & Malakai Black) (w/Julia Hart) ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk For More Wrestling News...

WWE WrestleMania 1 (1985) Results: Full Recap, Matches, Commentary, Winners, Rating

WrestleMania I was the inaugural professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). It took place on March 31, 1985, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, USA. The event was headlined by a tag team match between Hulk Hogan and Mr. T against Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. ## The event also featured several other notable matches, including a match between Andre the Giant and Big John Studd, and a women's tag team match featuring The Fabulous Moolah and Velvet McIntyre against Leilani Kai and Judy Martin. ## WrestleMania I was a major success and is widely considered to be the beginning of the modern era of professional wrestling. It set a precedent for future WrestleMania events and established the WWF as a dominant force in the wrestling industry. ## WWE WrestleMania 1 (1985) Results: Full Recap ## Singles Match: Tito Santana Vs The Executioner ## The first match of WrestleMania I was indeed between Tito Santana and The Executioner (Buddy Rose). Santana emerged victorious after making The Executioner submit to his signature submission hold, the figure-four leglock, which was a clear message to the reigning Intercontinental Champion at the time, Greg Valentine, who was known for using the same move as his finisher. ## WINNER: Tito Santana by submission ## MATCH RATING: ** ## Singles Match: King Kong Bundy (with Jimmy Hart) Vs Special Delivery Jones ## After King Kong Bundy (accompanied by Jimmy Hart) and Special Delivery Jones entered the ring, Bundy quickly gained the upper hand by smashing Jones into the turnbuckle and then landing on him with his stomach. Jones was then pinned by Bundy, and although the WWF's official time for the match was a then-record of nine seconds (which has since been surpassed by The Rock's victory over Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32), the actual duration of the match was 25 seconds. ## WINNER: King Kong Bundy via pinfall ## MATCH RATING: * ## Singles Match: Ricky Steamboat Vs Matt Borne ## Up next was a match-up between Ricky Steamboat and Matt Borne. Steamboat gained the early advantage in the match, but Borne quickly turned the tables by flipping him over and slamming him to the mat with a belly-to-belly suplex. Despite this setback, Steamboat managed to mount a comeback by executing a flying crossbody, which he used to pin Borne and secure the victory. ## WINNER: Ricky Steamboat pinfall ## MATCH RATING: * ## Singles Match: Brutus Beefcake (with Johnny Valiant) vs. David Sammartino (with Bruno Sammartino) ## Following the match, David Sammartino made his way to the ring accompanied by his father, Bruno Sammartino, while Brutus Beefcake was accompanied by Johnny Valiant. Both wrestlers showed their skills as the momentum of the match swung back and forth between them. At one point, Beefcake threw David Sammartino out of the ring and Valiant followed up by slamming him onto the unforgiving cement floor. Valiant then returned Sammartino to the ring, but was promptly attacked by Bruno Sammartino. This led to a wild brawl involving all four men, ultimately resulting in the match being declared a no-contest. ## WINNER: Ended in a double disqualification ## MATCH RATING: *** ## WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship Match: Junkyard Dog Vs. Greg Valentine (c) (with Jimmy Hart) ## The first championship match of WrestleMania featured Junkyard Dog taking on the reigning WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion Greg Valentine, who was accompanied to the ring by his manager Jimmy Hart. Junkyard Dog started off the match aggressively, unleashing a barrage of headbutts and punches on Valentine. The momentum of the match shifted back and forth until Hart climbed onto the ring apron, where Valentine accidentally hit him. Taking advantage of the distraction, Valentine pinned Junkyard Dog with his feet on the ropes, an illegal maneuver. Tito Santana rushed down to the ring and explained to the referee what had happened, prompting the match to be restarted. ## Junkyard Dog eventually won the match by count-out as Valentine failed to re-enter the ring. However, since titles do not change hands via count-out, Valentine retained his Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship. Despite this, Junkyard Dog still celebrated his victory in the ring. ## WINNER: Junkyard Dog via countout ## MATCH RATING: **** ## WWF Tag Team Championship: The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (with Freddie Blassie) Vs The U.S. Express (Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo) (c) (with Lou Albano) ## Up next was a highly-anticipated match for the WWF Tag Team Championship. The challengers, Nikolai Volkoff and The Iron Sheik, accompanied by Freddie Blassie, took on the reigning champions, The U.S. Express (Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham), accompanied by Lou Albano. The U.S. Express dominated the early part of the match, but Volkoff and The Sheik managed to gain the upper hand over Rotundo as the match progressed. ## Rotundo eventually tagged in Windham, who executed a bulldog on The Sheik. However, when the referee was distracted, The Sheik used Blassie's cane to strike Windham in the head. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Volkoff pinned Windham and the referee counted to three, making Volkoff and The Sheik the new WWF Tag Team Champions. Their victory at WrestleMania made them the first tag team to win a championship at the iconic event. ## WINNER: The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff ## MATCH RATING: **** ## Career vs. $15,000 Body Slam Challenge: André the Giant Vs Big John Studd (with Bobby Heenan) ## The next match on the card was a highly anticipated showdown between two of the biggest names in professional wrestling: André the Giant and Big John Studd, who was accompanied by his manager Bobby Heenan. The $15,000 Body Slam Challenge stipulated that André had to body slam Studd to win $15,000, and if he failed, he would be forced to retire from wrestling. ## Although Studd began the match on the offensive, André quickly regained control with his signature chops and headbutts. After wearing down Studd's knees with a series of kicks, André was finally able to lift him over his shoulders and execute the body slam to win the match. André then threw some of the prize money into the cheering crowd, much to their delight. ## However, things took a turn when Heenan grabbed the bag holding the remaining winnings and fled the ringside. Despite this setback, André emerged victorious and continued his legendary career with his undefeated streak still intact. ## WINNER: André the Giant ## MATCH RATING: **** ## WWF Women's Championship: Wendi Richter (with Cyndi Lauper) Vs Leilani Kai (c) (with The Fabulous Moolah) ## After all the women had left ringside, it was time for the WWF Women's Championship match between Wendi Richter, managed by singer Cyndi Lauper, and Leilani Kai, managed by former champion The Fabulous Moolah. Shortly after the match began, Moolah tried to interfere by pulling Richter's hair from the outside, but Lauper prevented her from doing so. ## Kai then performed a flying crossbody from the top rope, but Richter was able to roll through and pin Kai for the win, becoming the new Women's Champion. This moment was historic, as it marked the beginning of the Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection and brought more mainstream attention to women's wrestling. ## WINNER: Wendi Richter ## MATCH RATING: **** ## Hulk Hogan and Mr. T (with Jimmy Snuka) Vs Paul Orndorff and Roddy Piper (with Bob Orton Jr.) ## The main event and last match of the night pitted Hulk Hogan, the reigning WWF World Heavyweight Champion, and Mr. T, accompanied by Jimmy Snuka, against "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, accompanied by "Cowboy" Bob Orton. Professional boxer Muhammad Ali was the special guest referee (on the outside of the ring), New York Yankees manager Billy Martin was the guest ring announcer while Liberace (accompanied by The Rockettes) was the guest time keeper. First, Piper, Orndorff, and Orton made their way to the ring as drums and bagpipes played, causing the crowd to boo. Crowd favorites Hogan, Mr. T, and Snuka made their way to the ring next. ## The match began with Mr. T and Piper in the ring and the two traded blows. Midway through the match, all four men began brawling in the ring, and Muhammad Ali punched Piper in an attempt to restore order. After the match's order was restored, Orndorff and Piper had the offensive advantage. As Orndorff locked Hogan into a full nelson, Orton climbed the top rope to attempt to knock out Hogan. Instead, Orton mistakenly hit Orndorff, and Hogan pinned him to win the match. In frustration, Piper knocked out the in-ring official, Pat Patterson, before he and Orton retreated backstage leaving Orndorff alone in the ring with Hogan, Mr. T, and Snuka. ## WINNER:Hulk Hogan and Mr. T ## MATCH RATING: ***** ## That Will DO! ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
