DC's 'Blue Beetle' Box Office Projection Revealed

Los Angeles, August 8 - Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studio will look to put the recent box office failures as the studios are gearing up for the next DC Superhero movie "Blue Beetle" on August 18. The movie was once considered for direct digital release, but things got changed after many at Warner Bros. believed it could turn out to be a potential box office blockbuster.## The box office prospects of the movie are also looking brighter as compared to what it was tracking nearly a month ago. The Angel Manuel Soto-directed pic is touted to be very hot with Latino and Hispanic moviegoers, on the box office tracking. ## According to Deadline, the Xolo Maridueña-led superhero movie is tracking $30 million in the opening weekend at the domestic (North America) box office. The current projections are much better than the earlier projections of a $15 million debut. ## "Blue Beetle" is tracking lower than "The Flash" which opened at $55 million in June this year, but that movie hugely underperformed due to all the negativity around it and it couldn't recover from its low opening weekend and ended up as a box office failure for Warner Bros.## Deadline reports that "Blue Beetle" aimed at Hispanic and Latino moviegoers who can over-index in their first weekends due to walk-up business. There is a high chance that the movie could open to the higher end of the projections as it has more awareness than some of the recent movies which surprised trade with very good starts. ## In Blue Beetle, Xolo Maridueña stars as Jaime Reyes, a recent college grad that returns home with aspirations for his future, but finds out his home is not the same. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab.## Stay tuned...

Marvel Studios 'The Marvels' Will Release Without The IMAX Format

Los Angeles, July 30 - Marvel Studios' next theatrical tentpole "The Marvels" is getting ready to release in November this year. In this case, "The Marvels" will be taking IMAX screens. ## "Right. Dune, specifically, I mean, there's another great movie coming out around [that] time, which is The Marvels from Marvel, and we can't play it because we are committed to Dune. So, Dune moves will just go over to The Marvels, and having a Marvel movie as a backup is not the worst position to be in the world", Richard Gelfond, the Chief Executive Officer, IMAX said in a recent earning call. ## "The Marvels" stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, alongside Zawe Ashton, Park Seo-joon, and Samuel L. Jackson. In the film, Danvers, Rambeau, and Kamala team up after they begin swapping places with each other every time they use their powers.## The movie is scheduled to release on November 10, 2023.
