Box Office: Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' Tops 100 Crores Net In India

Mumbai, August 2 - Blockbuster Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan's atom bomb movie "Oppenheimer" has crossed the 100 crores net mark at the Indian box office, becoming the first movie of the director to achieve the feat in the country.



"Oppenheimer" tops the 100 crores net mark on its 13th day (2nd Wednesday) in both the versions - English and Hindi. The original English version has contributed approx. 90% of the total collection while the Hindi version has done the remaining. It didn't release in other languages.



Based on the life of American theoretical physicist and polymath J. Robert Oppenheimer, "Oppenheimer" is the 3rd Hollywood movie of the year after "Fast X" and "Mission Impossible 7" while it is the 13th Hollywood movie ever to reach the century mark at the Indian box office.



"Oppenheimer" has done exceptionally well in the IMAX and has grossed approx. 23 crores so far which is around 20% of the total collection. The total gross collection of the movie is approx. 119 crores in 19 days. It will cross "MI7" in the next couple of days to become the second-biggest Hollywood grosser of the year in India.



Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer and Robert Downey Jr. as Strauss, with the remaining ensemble supporting cast including Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh.
