The Dhamaal franchise has always been about mindless fun and big ensemble casts, and with Dhamaal 4 entering its third week, the box office numbers suggest that the audience is still finding reasons to laugh. If you have been following the trajectory of this series, you would know that Total Dhamaal set a very high bar back in 2019. Now, three weeks into its run, the fourth installment has managed to pull off a significant feat by overtaking the domestic net collection of its predecessor, although the global crown is expected to remain out of reach. While it has conquered the Indian market, a lagging overseas performance combined with the arrival of major new releases like Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2 will likely halt its momentum. This shift is already becoming evident, as seen on Day 21 when the daily earnings slipped below the 1 Crore mark for the first time since its release.
If we look at the start of the third week, the film showed a steady hold on Friday, Day 15, earning ₹2.25 Cr. What is interesting is the massive jump we saw on Saturday. The collections doubled to ₹4.50 Cr, representing a 100 percent growth. This trend continued into Sunday with a peak of ₹6.25 Cr. For a film in its third week, maintaining this kind of momentum over the weekend is a sign of healthy word-of-mouth. By the end of the weekend, the film had already pushed its India net total to nearly ₹150 Cr.

The real milestone moment arrived on Day 18, the third Monday. Despite the usual weekday drop to ₹1.60 Cr, the film officially crossed the ₹150 Crore net mark in India. More importantly, by the end of the week, the total India net stood at ₹155.85 Cr. This means Dhamaal 4 has now officially surpassed the ₹155.67 Cr lifetime net of Total Dhamaal, making it the highest-grossing film in the franchise domestically. It is quite a achievement to see a fourth film in a series still finding enough steam to set new internal records.
However, the story changes slightly when we look at the global picture. Total Dhamaal ended its run with a worldwide gross of ₹232.18 Cr, largely supported by a very strong overseas performance of over ₹48 Cr. Dhamaal 4 currently sits at a worldwide gross of ₹215.29 Cr, with overseas contributions totaling about ₹30.05 Cr. While the domestic market has been conquered, the overseas market is not behaving with the same intensity. At this stage, it looks like beating the worldwide lifetime record of the previous film will be a difficult mountain to climb.

The overseas market added a steady stream to the tally throughout the third week, contributing a cumulative ₹2.40 Cr. While the weekend saw a peak of ₹0.50 Cr on both Saturday and Sunday, the numbers began to taper off significantly as the week progressed. By Thursday, the daily intake had dropped to just ₹0.10 Cr. This takes the total overseas gross to ₹30.05 Cr. This slow pace in international markets is the primary reason why the film, despite its record-breaking domestic success, is struggling to catch up to the worldwide records set by the previous installment.
Occupancy trends throughout the week followed the typical weekend surge before settling into a weekday rhythm. Starting with 15.58 percent on Friday, the turnout peaked on Sunday at 34.52 percent. While Saturday night shows recorded the highest individual turnout at 36.69 percent, Sunday afternoon and evening slots were the busiest, both staying above 43 percent. The Tuesday discount offer had a visible impact, pushing the occupancy back up to 19.44 percent after it had dipped on Monday.With a notable reduction in shows on Thursday, the night screenings maintained a 24.31 percent occupancy.
On BookMyShow, the film saw its highest traction on the third Sunday with over 88,000 tickets sold. A notable spike also occurred on Tuesday, Day 19, where sales jumped to 39,250 tickets, up from Monday's 27,900. This was largely driven by discount offers , where Tuesday sales hit a peak of 23,000 tickets at national chians.

By Thursday, Day 21, we started to see the inevitable fatigue. The show count, which remained above 5,000 for most of the week, was slashed to 2,563 shows. This led to the daily collection dipping below the 1 Crore mark for the first time, ending the week at ₹0.85 Cr. Despite this drop, the cumulative performance for the week has been solid, contributing roughly ₹19.20 Cr to the total net.
