Assam is the sixteenth largest state by area and the fourteenth largest state by population in Indian country.## The Chief Minister of Assam is the chief executive of the Indian state of Assam which is appointed by a state’s governor. The chief minister is the leader of the state Legislative assembly. They would be the chief adviser to the nominal head of their respected state. All new principal announcements of policy are made by him on the floor of the house. The Chief Minister supervises and co­ordinates the policies of the several Ministers involved in the formulation and implementation of a policy and department. For the removal of ministers, the governor dependent on the chief minister because the governor can’t remove/dismiss ministers at his will.
