Mumbai, June 20 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's romantic action comedy Son of Sardaar 2 is reportedly getting a solo release as Maddock Films' romantic comedy Param Sundari is set to be delayed, according to the report by Peepingmoon.com. ## There had been speculation about the postponement of Param Sundari for some time, but the makers recently announced that it would be released on July 25, on the same day SOS2 hits the big screen. But the Maddock has now decided to postpone Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's film. ## Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock believes that Param Sundari has a strong chance of succeeding at the box office, and he doesn’t want it to get lost in a crowded release schedule. Both SOS2 and Param Sundari are in the same genre, but the former has more face value due to star power and franchise. ## Vijan has strategically opted to reposition the film to ensure it receives the attention it deserves, both for its narrative and its music. Varun Dhawan And Sharvari Wagh To Headline Maddock Films' 'Luka Chuppi 2'

Mumbai, May 23 - Producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films is turning 2019's hit rom-com Luka Chuppi into a franchise and has put its sequel under development with a new leading cast, replacing Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon from the original movie. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Maddock has roped in Varun Dhawan and Sharvari Wagh to headline Luka Chuppi 2. Both actors have reportedly given their preliminary approval and are expected to formally sign on once the script is finalised in the coming months. ## The report further said that the sequel will be different from the original movie, with a supernatural twist in its comedic narrative. It will retain the humorous tone but will have an entirely different storyline from the first movie, which was centred on a couple navigating a live-in relationship complicated by the arrival of their traditional families. ## While the director's name is not revealed yet, Luka Chuppi 2 will reportedly be directed by one of the associates of Laxman Utekar who directed the first film. Maddock Films' 'Bhool Chuk Maaf' Gets A New Theatrical Release Date

Mumbai, May 14 - In another fresh turn of events, Maddock Films' romantic comedy drama Bhool Chuk Maaf is getting back to the theatrical release. The movie is directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films in association with Amazon MGM Studios.## Over the last week, the film has been in the news for a couple of reasons. On May 8, the makers announced the Bhool Chuk Maaf's theatrical release, which was May 10, was called off amid the India and Pakistan border tensions and was rescheduled to a direct digital release on Prime Video on May 16. ## However, the decision to send the movie directly on digital invited the legal battle as PVR-Inox sued Maddock, seeking 60 crore in damages for breach of contract and requesting a stay on the film's digital release. Later, the Bombay High Court granted major relief to the theatre chain and stopped the OTT release of the movie. ## Now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the film is back on track for a theatrical release. It is said that the movie will now hit the big screens on May 23. The report further states that while Bollywood films are mandatory to have an 8-week theatrical window, Bhool Chuk Maaf might debut on Prime Video in just two weeks, on June 6, 2025. ## Meanwhile, Maddock Films doesn't have to pay any amount to PVRInox, as the latter has withdrawn the demands of Rs 60 crore from the former. PVR-Inox Sues Maddock Films For Cancelling Theatrical Release of 'Bhool Chuk Maaf'

Mumbai, May 10 - National multiplex theatre chain, PVRINOX, has reportedly sued producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films for cancelling the theatrical release date of its romantic comedy drama Bhool Chuk Maaf at the last minute. ## A day before the film's release on May 9, Maddock Films and Amazon Prime issued a statement stating that the theatrical release of Bhool Chuk Maaf was called off aftermath of the ongoing border conflict between India and Pakistan. The studio announced that the movie would now be released directly on Prime Video on May 9. ## According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, PVR Inox has decided to take legal action against the production house for damages of Rs. 60 crores for non-playability of the movie. While Maddock stated the conflict as the reason behind the decision, the theatre alleged that the decision was taken due to poor advance booking. ## "PVR has submitted their case in the Bombay High Court. The matter became serious as all the contracts were signed, and then suddenly Maddock backed off. The movie will run in theatres for a minimum of 8 weeks before it is made available on OTT, however, even before the deadline, it has been hit by massive piracy and the investigation has begun for the same. ## According to the reports, Chhaava's HD prints have been leaked online and the Mumbai Police is said to have registered a case in this matter. The movie was deliberately leaked online through pirated sites on more than 1800 digital links. This isn't the first time a Bollywood film has leaked before its official digital release as there have been many such cases in the past. ## It is said that producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films anticipated this illegal activity and reportedly hired an anti-piracy agency to handle this matter legally. 'Chhaava' Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, February 13 - Vicky Kaushal reunited with director Laxman Utekar after the success of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke for the historical action drama Chhaava, based on the life of Maratha king Sambhaji.
