Maddock Films' 'Bhool Chuk Maaf' Gets A New Theatrical Release Date

Over the last week, the film has been in the news for a couple of reasons. On May 8, the makers announced the Bhool Chuk Maaf's theatrical release, which was May 10, was called off amid the India and Pakistan border tensions and was rescheduled to a direct digital release on Prime Video on May 16.

However, the decision to send the movie directly on digital invited the legal battle as PVR-Inox sued Maddock, seeking 60 crore in damages for breach of contract and requesting a stay on the film's digital release. Later, the Bombay High Court granted major relief to the theatre chain and stopped the OTT release of the movie.

Now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the film is back on track for a theatrical release. It is said that the movie will now hit the big screens on May 23. The report further states that while Bollywood films are mandatory to have an 8-week theatrical window, Bhool Chuk Maaf might debut on Prime Video in just two weeks, on June 6, 2025.

Meanwhile, Maddock Films doesn't have to pay any amount to PVRInox, as the latter has withdrawn the demands of Rs 60 crore from the former. The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in the leading roles.
