Maddock Films Advances Shraddha Kapoor's 'Stree 2' On Independence Day 2024

Mumbai, June 14 - The Independence Day 2024 weekend is getting super crowded after Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films advanced the release date of its highly-anticipated horror-comedy Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 was supposed to be released on August 31 but after the postponement of Ajay Devgn's Singham 3 and Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, the makers decided to prepone the movie by two weeks and it will now be released on August 15, 2024, which is one of the best release dates of the year.## A sequel to 2018's film, Stree 2, however, will have to face a double challenge this Independence Day weekend as Akshay Kumar's comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's action drama Vedaa are already scheduled to hit the big screens on this exact date. ## Stree 2 is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under the banners of Maddock Films and Jio Studios. Mumbai, June 14 - Director Rohit Shetty and Bollywood star Ajay Devgn have locked the Diwali 2024 release date for his highly-awaited action drama Singham Again after postponing it from Independence Day weekend. The makers announced the new date a day after Ajay Devgn confirmed the movie wouldn't make it to the August 15 deadline. ## Produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez with Reliance Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Devgn Films, Singham Again was supposed to clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule on this Independence Day weekend but now both movies have been pushed back, however, new release date of Pushpa 2 is not yet locked. ## Singham 3 will now clash with Kartik Aaryan's horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which is already scheduled for Diwali release. Mumbai, June 13 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has confirmed the rumours about the postponement of the highly-anticipated action drama Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty. The actor said that the shoot of the movie is still pending and the team is not eyeing the already announced date. ## Ajay Devgn was speaking at the trailer launch event of his upcoming romantic thriller, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which is scheduled to release on July 5. When asked about the status of Singham 3, the actor said that he doesn't think the movie will be ready by August 15. ## "I am not sure (about the release date). The work on the film, which kicked off earlier, has not been completed yet and a few portions of the shoot are pending as well. We do not want to release the film in a hurry because that often ruins it. Los Angeles, June 13 - The advance booking of superstar Prabhas-led Kalki 2898 AD is on fire in North America with two weeks for the release. Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki is aiming to score the biggest opening for an Indian movie there. ## The pre-sales of the sci-fi epic have crossed $1 million in North America for the premiere which is slated on June 26. The overall booking of the movie is close to 1.5 million for all days which is excellent. ## Kalki 2898 AD premiere pre-sales have created a record for an Indian movie as it has become the fastest to reach the $1 million mark, beating SS Rajamouli's RRR.
