Hyderabad, April 8 - Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu's mega-budget fantasy drama Kannappa is getting bigger and bigger with each passing day. After bringing Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Nayanthara on board to play cameo roles, the makers strike another gold. ## According to the latest Telugu media reports, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play a crucial cameo role in the film, joining the massive star cast. It is not yet revealed which role the actor will play. ## Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the movie stars Vishnu Manchu in the title role of Kannappa, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. The ever-rising star cast also includes Prabhas, Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Brahmanandam, Shiva Rajkumar, Sarath Kumar, Madhoo, Devaraj, and Preity Mukhundhan, among many others in key roles. ## The movie is being produced by AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. The movie was a big box office success with a worldwide collection of close to a hundred crore gross. ## Post the big success of Sita Ramam, Hanu Raghavapudi flooded with offers and it was reported last year that the filmmaker has been tapped to director Pan India superstar Prabhas in his next film. Amid months of speculations, the filmmaker has confirmed his next director with Prabhas and also shared some key updates regarding the same. ## According to a report by M9.News, Raghavapudi was invited to address students at NIT in Warangal as a special guest where he confirmed the news about directing Prabhas in his next. He said that his upcoming film with Prabhas is a period action with an alternative narrative of history and also confirmed that Vishal Chandrashekhar has already finished composing three songs for the film. ## The movie reportedly has the Razakar movement as the backdrop set in the Pre-Independence era. Gnanavel for an action drama film, titled Vettaiyan, produced by Lyca Productions. ## Vettaiyan is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year and the makers have locked the October 2024 release date in multiple languages. While the exact date is not revealed yet, reports say that the film will hit big screens on October 31st on the occasion of Diwali. ## The film boasts a solid star cast which also includes legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and Ritika Singh, among others. He is currently basking on the success of Shaitaan, and at the same time, gearing up for the release of the long-awaited sports biopic Maidaan, scheduled for April 10.## Apart from the upcoming release, Ajay Devgn is in the process of spearheading his next films. The actor is currently shooting for Singham Again and Raid 2, both scheduled to release in theatres in the second half of 2024. ## Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, AD is all set to start shooting for two much-awaited films, De De Pyaar De 2, and Son of Sardar 2, in June this year in London. "Ajay will wrap up shooting for Singham Again and Raid 2 by the end of May. He will be off to London in June to commence work on De De Pyaar De 2 followed by Son of Sardar 2", the reports state. ## De De Pyaar De 2, which will be directed by debutante Anushul Sharma, will have a 15-day schedule in London, and after calling a wrap on the first schedule of DDPD2, Ajay Devgn will move on to Son of Sardar 2. The director of SOS 2 is not revealed yet but it is said that an acclaimed director known for comedies in the Punjabi Film Industry has been roped in for the same. ## Ajay Devgn is currently working on 8 franchise films. Samantha Ruth Prabhu In Talks To Reunite With Allu Arjun In Director Atlee's Next

Hyderabad, April 1 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun is set to headline director Atlee's next film. The duo has been in talks for some time now and have agreed to collaborate for the first time for an action drama film that will be AA's immediate next after the highly-awaited Pushpa 2 - The Rule. ## According to a report by Pinkvilla, Atlee has started to lock in the rest of the cast, and in this process, the blockbuster filmmaker is in talks with Samantha Ruth Prabhu to play the female lead. Sam and Atlee have previously worked together in Theri and Mersal, fronted by Thalapathy Vijay. ## It is said that both the actress and director are excited to work together again after 7 years. The movie will also mark Samantha's reunion with Allu Arjun after Son of Satyamurthy while she also did a special song in AA's Pushpa - The Rise. ## The movie will reportedly be produced by Sun Pictures and will feature multiple actresses. The makers are planning to take the film on floors by October this year. Allu Arjun will wrap up shooting for Pushpa 2 soon and directly delve into the prep of Atlee’s next.
