Marathi Movie 'Sher Shivraj' Scores Well In The First Week At The Box Office
Mumbai, April 29 - The Marathi continues to shine bright amid the tsunami of Pan India films at the box office. In the last few months, Marathi cinema has delivered a couple of big hits in the form of "Pawankhind", and "Lochya Zaala Re", and now, there is one more film that continues the winning run is "Sher Shivraj". ## Directed by Digpal Lanjekar, "Sher Shivraj" was released on April 22 and took the opening of 1.05 crores despite the limited release. The movie received positive word of mouth from audiences which helped to score a big opening weekend of 4.2 crores net. ## Based on Maratha King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, "Sher Shivraj" remained solid throughout the weekdays and scored 6.70 crores net in the first full week, which is a great result for the makers. Despite the two new Hindi releases this week in the form of "Runway 34", and "Heropanti 2", "Sher Shivraj" is expected to do well in the second week as well. ## The movie is based on one of the greatest and bravest incidents from the life of The Great Maratha King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj where he defeated Afzalkhan with his brilliant tactics and courage.## Produced by Nitin Keni, and Naveen Chandra of Mumbai Movie Studios in association with Raajwarasa Productions and Mulakshar Productions, "Sher Shivraj" stars Mrinal Kulkarni, Chinmay Mandlekar, Ajay Purkar, Mukesh Rishi, and Varsha Usgaonkar, among many others in key roles. ## Stay tuned...
