Aamir Khan Provides Update On His Dream Project 'Mahabharata'
Mumbai, April 22 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has been trying to bring the epic historical tale Mahabharata on the big screen for a long time, and after years of planning, the actor is planning to start working on it by this year itself.



During the latest interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the Dangal star provided some updates on his dream project, which he will take on as a producer and is likely to act. Setting his sights on the film that he calls one of his big ambitions, AK said that he hopes to start work on it this year.



The actor-filmmaker further revealed that the project will be made in multiple parts, and when asked about the director, he refused to give names but confirmed that it may be directed by multiple directors as he plans to film all the parts simultaneously.



Aamir clarified that the writing process of the movie will take a couple of years before they take it to the floors. It is said that the actor's Mahabharata project will be mounted on a massive budget of over 1000 crores and will be made on a large scale, unlike any other Indian film.

Meanwhile, Aamir is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited comedy drama Sitaare Zameen Par, which is the Hindi adaptation of the Spanish film Champions (2018). Directed by R. S. Prasanna, it is scheduled to be released on June 20 this year. He also has played a cameo role in director Lokesh Kanagaraj and superstar Rajinikanth's Coolie, which is scheduled for August 14 release in multiple parts.
