Aashiqui Fame Rahul Roy Suffers Brain Stroke While Shooting, Hospitalized
Bollywood actor Rahul Roy has suffered a brain stroke while shooting for a project in Kargil and is now admitted to the ICU of Mumbai's Nanavati hospital, according to India TV News.
The news comes as a shock for all the fans of the popular actor of the 90s era. The actor was shooting for his upcoming film titled 'LAC – Live the Battle' in Kargil when the incident took place. It was due to the harsh weather conditions that caused the stroke after which he was taken to Srinagar and then to Mumbai.
"He was hospitalized two days ago after he arrived from Kargil. He was admitted due to a progressive brain stroke," the family source told PTI. "He is safe and recovering well. The recovery will take some time", they added.
Meanwhile, further, the report said that he has completed the shooting of his film which is based on the real-life event of Galwan Ghati. Directed by Nitin Kumar Gupta, the film is jointly produced by Chitra Vakil Sharma and Nivedita Basu. Rahul in the same will be seen playing the role of a Major. The film also features Bigg Boss 14 ex-contestant Nishant Singh Malkani.
Rahul shot to fame with the Mahesh Bhatt-directed "Aashiqui" at the age of 22. He went on to work with the filmmaker on 1990s films like "Junoon" and "Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee". After laying low for some time, the actor joined the first season of the popular TV reality show "Bigg Boss" in 2006 and emerged as the winner.
