'Adipurush' Dialogue Writer Manoj Muntashir Offers Unconditional Apology For Hurting People's Sentiments

Mumbai, July 8 - The dialogue writer of the "Adipurush" film, Manoj Muntashir Shukla has been facing backlash for the dialogue of the movie, which the audiences found to be crass. Manoj had tried to clarify the thought process behind penning the dialogues of the film on many occasions, and now, after three weeks after the film's release, he has offered an unconditional apology for the same.

On July 8, Manoj Muntashir Shukla took to Twitter and accepted that people's sentiments have been hurt by "Adipurush" and that he extends his unconditional apology. "I accept people's emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation", the writer said.

"Adipurush", directed by Om Raut, is the modern-day cinematic adaptation of the epic Ramayana. Prabhas plays the role of Lord Rama while Kriti Sanon features Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Laxman, and Devdutt Nage as Hanuman, among many others.

Produced by T-Series, Retrophiles, and UV Creations, the movie took an excellent start at the box office before tanking during the weekdays. It currently stands at around 390 crores worldwide and is heading towards below 400 crores finish which is a disappointing result for a 500 crore budget movie.
