Ajay Devgn Gives Update On 'Drishyam 3' and 'Shaitaan 2'

Mumbai, November 9 — Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has led a few of the most loved film franchises and 2 of them are suspense thriller Drishyam and Shaitaan. Drishyam 2 was released in 2022 and was a huge hit while Shaitaan debuted this year and turned out to be a slipper hit.

There have been reports that the next instalments of both the aforementioned franchises are in development and now, Ajay Devgn has confirmed the same. During an interaction with Pinkvilla, the Tanhaji star said "Shaitaan 2 is being written at the moment. A team is also working on the next Drishyam film".

Devgn, who is currently working on multiple sequels to his blockbuster films including De De Pyaar De, Son of Sardaar, Dhamaal, and Golmaal, stressed the demand for these films and said, "This is the time for sequels, and that's happening because the audience is prepared to know what they are going to get in the film. The characters become relatable and the audience is sure of what they will get on the big screen".

Drishyam is the remake of a Malayalam film series starring superstar Mohanlal and there are reports that Drishyam 3 will be shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Hindi and are likely to go on floors next year. Both Mohanlal and Ajay Devgn will return to headline the respective versions.
