Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi's 'Jolly LLB 3' To Clash With 'Kantara: Chapter 1'?

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter India, the Subhash Kapoor's directorial blockbuster is set to be postponed by two weeks. The report states that the makers are eyeing to bring the movie on October 2, 2025, as they feel it is a perfect holiday release.

The team, including Akshay Kumar and director Subhash Kapoor, is confident that they have made an entertaining movie, and the discussions are going on to give it a holiday release, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, on October 2nd.

Produced by Star Studios and Kangra Talkies, the film will pit Akshay and Arshad against each other in the movie as lawyers, with Saurabh Shukla returning to play Judge Sunderlal Tripathi. The movie will also feature Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, and Annu Kapoor in their respective roles.

If the makers lock the October 2nd release for Jolly LLB 3, it could mean that the movie will clash with Rishab Shetty's Pan India movie, Kantara: Chapter 1. There were rumours of the postponement of the much-awaited Kannada title, but the makers dropped a new poster a couple of days ago and confirmed that the film is on track for October 2 release as the shoot is completed.

Even though Kantara: Chapter 1 is not a direct Hindi film, it is carrying a big buzz in the dubbed version, especially since the first film, Kantara (2022), was a surprise hit in the Hindi market. The trade is optimistic about the film's box office prospects. However, Jolly LLB 3 is also a franchise film with a strong star cast and is easily one of the most anticipated Bollywood films. While the clash with Kantara 2 might reduce the full potential, Jollywood LLB 3 is expected to score a big opening.
