Akshay Kumar's 'Sarfira' Censor Certificate and Theatrical Runtime Details
Mumbai, July 4 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and Tamil director Sudha Kongara teamed up for the first time for the drama film Sarfira which is the remake of Kongara's Soorarai Pottru with Suriya in the lead role.



Sarfira, produced by Abundantia Entertainment, 2D Entertainment, and Cape Of Good Films, completed censorship formalities today (July 4) and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted the movie a clean 'U' certificate with an approved theatrical runtime of 2 hours and 35 minutes (155 minutes).



Sarfira follows a man who sets out to make affordable airlines for low-income people, which several enemies try to impede. Akshay Kumar plays the lead role along with Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal who also featured in the original movie while Suriya has played a special appearance in the movie.



The movie was originally scheduled to be released in September 2023 before the makers postponed it to February 2024, from which it was again moved and now, it is finally hitting the big screens on July 12. It will clash with Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 which is releasing on the same day.
