Amazon Prime Video announces the global premiere of 5 non-Hindi films

As the coronavirus pandemic has stopped the theatrical release of the several films, the makers are approaching for the OTT platform to release their films during this time of crisis. Many digital platforms have seemed interested in many films. However, Amazon Prime Video has seemed one step ahead from the other digital platforms as it has bagged several films including Hindi and other languages.



The Amazon Prime Video recently announced the global premiere of Hindi films 'Gulabo Sitabo' and 'Shakuntla Devi'. And apart from Hindi films, it has also announced 5 other films from different languages of its global premiere.



Here are 5 non-Hindi films to premiere on Amazon Prime Video -

1. Penguin (Tamil and Telugu) - Penguin is a bilingual film starring Keerthy Suresh in the lead role. It is one of the two Tamil films to release directly on the OTT platform as both will be premiered on Amazon Prime Video. Penguin is a thriller film directed by Eashvar Karthic and produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam. It is the 24th film of the national award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh and will premiere on June 19, 2020.
2. Ponmagal Vandhal (Tamil) - Another Tamil film that has been bagged by Prime Video. Ponmagal Vandhal is legal drama film directed by J. J. Fredrick and produced by Suriya under his banner 2D Entertainment. The film stars Jyothika in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to release on 29 May 2020.
3. French Biryani (Kannada) - French Biryani is a Kannada movie stars Danish Sait, Sal Yusuf, and Pitobash in leading roles. The movie is written by Avinash Balekkala, directed by Pannaga Bharana, and produced by Ashwini and Puneeth Rajkumar, and Gurudutt A Talwar. The film will release on July 24.
4. Law (Kannada) - Law is a crime thriller Kannada movie which is completely a women-oriented film. It is directed by Raghu Samarth and produced by Ashwini and Puneeth Rajkumar under the banner PRK Productions. Actress Ragini Chandran is making her debut with this movie. The film also stars Siri Prahlad and veteran actor Mukhyamantri Chandru. It will release on June 26.
5. Sufiyum Sujatayum (Malayalam) - Sufiyum Sujatayum is a Malayalam musical drama film written and directed by Naranipuzha Shanavas. It is produced by Vijay Babu under his banner Friday Film House. The film stars Jayasurya and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
