Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar turns 47 today on April 24, Friday. It has been 7 years since Sachin Tendulkar played his last international match 14 November 2013 against West Indies which was also his 200th Test, but the aura of the master blaster still remains the same.

The highest run-getter both in ODIs and Tests, Sachin Tendulkar is the only player to play 200 Test matches. In his 200th Test, the master blaster scored 74 runs against West Indies at his home ground Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.



In 2014, Sachin Tendulkar was honored with the highest civilian award of India, Bharat Ratna. Apart from Bharat Ratna, he received several awards including the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna (India's highest honor given for achievement in sports in 1997-98).



In 2012, Sachin Tendulkar accepted the Rajya Sabha nomination proposed by the President of India and became the first active sportsperson and cricketer to have been nominated.
