Warner Bros. is having high hopes for this Ezra Miller-fronted superhero movie that has been in the hot water due to the actor's controversial past. Despite that, the studio is hopeful that the movie will score a much-needed box office win as far as DCEU is concerned.
Directed by Andy Muschietti, "The Flash" is the first solo movie for the popular DC Comics character. The development of a film featuring the Flash began in the late 1980s, with multiple writers and directors attached to the project through 2014. The film was then redeveloped as a part of the DCEU, with Miller cast as the title character.
It stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash alongside Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, Michael Keaton, and Ben Affleck. In the film, Barry travels back in time to prevent his mother's murder, which brings unintended consequences.
