Deepika Padukone To Play Female Lead Opposite Ajay Devgn In Singham Again
Mumbai, December 8 - Maverick filmmaker Rohit Shetty has finalized Deepika Padukone to play the female lead opposite Ajay Devgn in the third installment of the Singham franchise. Titled Singham Again, the movie marks Deepika's first film with Ajay Devgn and third with Shetty after "Chennai Express" and "Cirkus" (cameo).



Deepika Padukone is the newest member of Rohit Shetty's blockbuster cop universe. The first two Singham movies featured Kajal Aggarwal and Kareena Kapoor as the female leads in "Singham" (2011) and "Singham Returns" (2014).



Deepika Padukone will be seen playing a cameo in the song 'Current Laga' from Shetty's upcoming comic capper "Cirkus", which is scheduled to release on December 23 in theaters. The movie stars Ranveer Singh in the double role along with Varun Sharma, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Jonny Lever, among others in key roles.
