Dhanush's 'Thiruchitrambalam' Release Date Locked!

Chennai, May 24 - Actor Dhanush will have a busy year with back-to-back releases, including his big Hollywood debut, The Gray Man. Directed by Russo Brothers, the movie is touted to be a global spy thriller that also stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas in leading roles. It will premiere on Netflix on July 22.

Dhanush, apart from The Gray Man, will be headlining his long-awaited romantic comedy, Thiruchitrambalam, which also stars Raashi Khanna, Nithya Menen, and Priya Bhavani Shankar as female leads, with Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja in supporting roles. The film's shooting was completed in October last year in just fifty days but the release got delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Produced by Sun Pictures, Thiruchitrambalam will now reportedly be released in theaters on Dhanush's birthday on July 28, Thursday. Popular Entertainment Tamil Industry tracker, Sreedhar Pillai posted on Twitter about the movie's release date.

The movie is directed by Mithran Jawahar, with whom Dhanush had earlier collaborated for Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty, and Uthamaputhiran. The upcoming movie marks his 4th collaboration with the director. There are speculations about the movie releasing on July 1st, however, there is no official update on the same.

Thiruchitrambalam will be distributed by actor and producer Udhayanidhi Stalin under his banner Red Giant Movies. The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander with cinematography handled by Om Prakash.
