Director Shankar Gives Big Update On Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 3' Release

Chennai, December 19 - Kamal Haasan-fronted vigilante action thriller Indian 2 was released earlier this year amid high expectations but it ended up as the biggest failure for director Shankar at the box office and critical front.

After the debacle box office performance of Indian 2, reports emerged that Indian 3 will skip theatrical release and will directly be an OTT release. However, during a recent interview, director Shankar discussed Indian 2 failure and also confirmed the upcoming movie will be a theatrical release.

"I didn't expect such negative reviews for Indian 2. Well, I have moved on. I believe my work on Game Changer and Indian 3 will speak for itself. I'm sure both will be enjoyable theatrical experiences", Shankar said in an interview with Vikatan.

The release date of Indian 3 is not locked yet and it is expected to hit the screens in the first half of 2025. Meanwhile, Shankar is gearing up for the release of his Pan India movie Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the leading roles. It is scheduled for January 10, 2025, release.
