Dwayne Johnson's Superhero Film 'Black Adam' To Release One Day Early In India
Mumbai, October 6 - Dwayne Johnson's keenly-awaited Black Adam will be released one day early in India. The film was originally announced for simultaneous release in the USA on October 21 but Warner Bros. India has now confirmed it will hit theaters on October 20, Thursday in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.



Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, "Black Adam" marks Johnson's DC debut as he plays antihero Teth-Adam/Black Adam in the film. Produced by New Line Cinema, DC Films, Seven Bucks Productions, and FlynnPictureCo., the movie is a spin-off from Shazam! (2019) and the 11th film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).



Warner Bros. India took to Twitter and announced the new release date. "Brace yourselves because #BlackAdam is arriving one day early! Watch 'Black Adam' in cinemas in India from October 20 onwards in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu", the studio wrote.



The official synopsis of the movie reads, "After nearly five thousand years of imprisonment, Black Adam, an antihero from the ancient city of Kahndaq, is unleashed into modern times. His brute tactics and way of justice attract the attention of the Justice Society of America, who tries to stop his rampage, teach him how to be a hero more than a villain, and must team up to stop a force more powerful than Adam himself.



The film stars Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam alongside Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Pierce Brosnan.
