Emraan Hashmi To Headline A Dark, Modern Romantic Film

Mumbai, February 19 - It's been a long time since Emraan Hashmi did a romantic film, something, he used to do frequently a decade ago. Well, the wait for the actor to return to this genre seems to have come to an end as he is in talks to headline a love story with none other than Bhatts with whom he has a good track record.

The combination of Emraan Hashmi and producers Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt has been successful at the box office and worked together on multiple films such as - Murder, Zeher, Gangster, Awarapan, Jannat, Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Tum Mile, Crook, Murder 2, Jannat 2, Raaz 3.

According to the report by Mid-Day, the actor has been in talks with Vishesh Bhatt for a twisted musical love story. It is said that Emraan Hashmi has had multiple meetings with Vishes Bhatt and they have shortlisted a few stories. There is a story which the duo is keen to explore a modern musical love story with a dark twist, written by Vishesh.

A concrete development on the film is expected by March. Meanwhile, Mukesh Bhatt has confirmed that they are indeed in discussions with Emraan for a new film. "We're looking at options, but it's too early to talk about it. Vishesh is at the helm of it. He is now taking the banner forward, but yes, I will be there [to oversee] the music", he said to Mid-Day.
