IMDb Unveils Top 10 Most Anticipated Upcoming Indian Movies of 2024
Directed by Sukumar, the sequel to the 2021 movie Pushpa - The Rise, Pushpa 2 has been the talk of the town ever since the first part was released. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, the blockbuster movie is scheduled to be released on December 6 in multiple languages.
The second most anticipated Indian movie of the year is superstar Jr. NTR's action drama, Devara: Part 1 which is again a Pan India title. It is directed by Koratala Siva and also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in their Telugu debut. The movie is slated to hit the big screen on September 28.
Akshay Kumar-fronted comedy entertainer, Welcome To The Jungle (Welcome 3) is the third most anticipated movie of 2024. The multi-starrer tentpole is currently scheduled to be released during the Christmas weekend, however, it is likely to be postponed to next year.
Thalapathy Vijay's sci-fi action thriller, The Greatest of All-Time (GOAT) is the 4th most-anticipated Indian title of the year. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, GOAT is the second last movie of Vijay before he enters politics. It is scheduled to be released on September 5. Another hugely-awaited Pan India movie, Suriya's Kanguva takes the 5th spot in the list. Directed by Siva, the film is slated to debut on the big screen on October 10. It also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in their Tamil debuts.
Ajay Devgn's cop action drama Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty and Kartik Aaryan's horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee, two of the potential highest Bollywood grossers of the year, is the 6th and 7th most-anticipated titles, respectively. Both movies will clash at the box office on Diwali this year.
Actor Vikram's Tamil action-drama Thangalaan, directed by Pa. Ranjith is 8th on the list of the most-anticipated Indian title of 2024. It is scheduled to be released on August 15. Ajay Devgn and Tabu's romantic thriller, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, due on August 2, takes the 9th spot.
