Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' Censor Certificate and Theatrical Runtime Details
Chennai, July 5 - Lyca Productions' vigilante action film Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan is set to be one of the longest Indian films as CBFC officially censored the much-anticipated Pan India film. Directed by Maverick S. Shankar, it is the sequel to 1996 Indian.



Indian 2 was censored on July 4 by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a 'U/A' certificate with an approved theatrical runtime of 180 minutes and 4 seconds (3 hours). CBFC also suggested some changes, including the replacement of some cuss words, such as "Dirty Indian" to "Indian".



Produced by Lyca Production, Indian 2 which will be released as Hindustani 2 in Hindi and Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu will see Kamal Haasan reprising his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption. He returns from Hong Kong to aid Chitra Varadharajan, who has been exposing corrupt politicians in the country through videos on the internet.



As officially revealed, Indian 2 will be released in two parts and the second part, Indian 3 is expected to hit the screens in the first quarter of 2024.
