'Krrish 4' To Be Hrithik Roshan's Next After 'War 2'

Mumbai, December 27 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan has been busy with the highly-anticipated spy action thriller War 2 since last year. The movie, scheduled to be released in August 2025, is being directed by Ayan Mukerji and also stars Telugu superstar Jr. NTR (Bollywood debut) in the parallel lead role.

The final schedule of War 2 will be shot in April next year and after wrapping it up, Hrithik will start superhero biggie Krrish 4 which will be the actor's immediate next, according to the latest report by mid-day.

It is said that the script work on Krrish is nearly done and the makers are set to take it on floors by the summer of 2025, with schedules in Mumbai and parts of Europe. Agneepath director Karan Malhotra will reportedly be directing this much-awaited superhero title while Rakesh Roshan will produce it with a big studio.

It is to be noted that Rakesh Roshan directed the first three films of the franchise (including Koi Mil Gaya) and this time, he has taken a back seat from this duty. The makers are keen to raise the benchmark of superhero films with Krrish 4 and are leaving no stone unturned to make it a cinematic spectacle.

Stay tuned...

Emraan Hashmi's Cult Classic Awarapan Set For Theatrical Re-Release On July 31; To Compete With Spider-Man: Brand New Day

BY SACNILK

The anticipation for Awarapan 2 has been building steadily, with fans eager to see the return of one of the most iconic characters in Hindi cinema. The original Awarapan, released in 2007, was directed by Mohit Suri and featured a stellar ensemble including Emraan Hashmi, Shriya Saran, Ashutosh Rana, and Ashish Vidyarthi. While the film did not set the box office on fire during its initial run, it eventually transformed into a massive cult classic. Its legacy was cemented through years of television broadcasts and the timeless appeal of its musical score, which remains a favorite for many to this day. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the makers are now looking to capitalize on this long-standing craze by re-releasing the first part of Awarapan in cinemas on July 31. This strategic move aims to refresh the audience's memory and build a massive momentum exactly two weeks before the sequel hits the theaters. Sources suggest that the films strong recall value, driven by its emotional depth and massy moments, makes it a perfect candidate for a theatrical revival for a generation that might have missed it on the big screen nearly two decades ago. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) This re-release sets up an interesting battle at the box office, as it is scheduled to clash with the major Hollywood blockbuster, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which arrives in India on July 30. While the superhero flick is expected to take a gargantuan start, industry insiders believe that Awarapan still holds enough emotional weight to attract significant footfalls. The nostalgia factor is a powerful tool in the current market, and the trade expects the film to find its own dedicated audience despite the heavy international competition. We have seen a growing trend where films that underperformed during their original runs, such as Tumbbad, Sanam Teri Kasam, and Laila Majnu, emerged as huge hits upon their re-release. Many fans feel a sense of regret for not supporting these films in theaters originally, and that sentiment is expected to play a major role here. Awarapan fits this mold perfectly, having grown in stature over the years through home video and digital platforms, and the July 31 release is seen as a way to correct its previous box office record. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Transitioning to the sequel, Awarapan 2 is being handled by director Nitin Kakkar, known for his work on Filmistaan. The new installment features Emraan Hashmi returning to his iconic role as Shivam Pandit, joined by Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi. The story reportedly picks up from where the 2007 film left off, suggesting that Shivam survived the intense events of the original climax. This return to a brooding, tragic hitman persona is being viewed as the ideal comeback vehicle for Hashmi, tapping into the soulful romantic-action genre that defined a specific era of his career. With the sequel set to release on August 14, the industry is hopeful that Awarapan 2 will deliver a major hit for Emraan Hashmi. The romantic musical genre is currently seeing a resurgence, and given that the sequel aims to replicate the emotional core of the first part, the trade expects a solid opening. By bringing the original film back to theaters first, the makers are ensuring that the hype for Shivam Pandits new mission reaches a fever pitch by the time the second part officially arrives.

Mumbai, July 16 - The Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise is gearing up for another spooky adventure. After the commercial success of the previous instalments, work has reportedly begun on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4, with reports suggesting that the film is currently in development. Kartik Aaryan is expected to reprise his popular role as Rooh Baba, continuing the character's journey in the horror-comedy universe. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the script for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 is presently being written, with the makers taking their time to craft a fresh story for the next chapter. Production is reportedly being planned for 2027, although the project is still in its early stages. The remaining cast and crew, including the film's director, are yet to be officially finalised. Director Anees Bazmee had previously confirmed that the fourth instalment was in the works and stated that Kartik Aaryan's return was the only casting decision locked at the time. There is no clarity if Bazmee will return to direct the upcoming comedy entertainer, as the conversations are progressing internally on who will helm the project. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise has evolved into one of Bollywood's most successful horror-comedy series. Following the success of the original film starring Akshay Kumar, the franchise found renewed momentum with Kartik Aaryan leading Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. With a fourth instalment now in development, fans can expect another blend of supernatural thrills, comedy, and mystery as Rooh Baba prepares to return to the big screen.

Prabhas' Fauzi Sets Up Massive Box Office Clash With Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn Starrers

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, July 16 - The first week of December 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest box office battlegrounds in recent memory. Three major Hindi and pan-India releases are set to arrive within two days of each other, setting the stage for an intense clash before Hollywood giants Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three, and Shah Rukh Khan's King dominate cinemas later in the month. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Prabhas' much-awaited period action drama Fauzi has officially locked December 3, 2026, as its theatrical release date. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film has generated significant buzz ever since its announcement and is expected to be one of the biggest pan-India releases of the year. With Prabhas returning in a larger-than-life role, the film is expected to command a massive release across multiple languages. Just a day later, on December 4, Ajay Devgn's much-awaited Ranger is scheduled to hit theatres. Sharing the same release date is Akshay Kumar's untitled collaboration with director Anees Bazmee, setting up a direct three-way contest among some of Indian cinema's biggest stars. While all three films cater to different audiences, they will inevitably compete for premium screens, show timings, and opening weekend collections. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The timing makes the clash even more significant. The three Indian releases will have barely two weeks to maximise their theatrical business before Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three, along with King, arrive later in December, films that are expected to occupy a substantial share of IMAX and premium large-format screens worldwide. As a result, the opening weekend and first fortnight will be crucial for Fauzi, Ranger, and Akshay Kumar's upcoming entertainer. With Prabhas, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar all eyeing the lucrative year-end holiday season, the first week of December 2026 is set to become one of the most closely watched box office clashes in recent years. Whether all three films stick to their announced dates or one eventually opts to avoid the crowded window remains to be seen, but as of now, audiences are in for a blockbuster showdown.

Dhamaal 4 Day 6: Ajay Devgn's Comedy Holds Firm With RS. 6.75 Cr Net; 100 Crore Milestone Now Certain Within the Second Weekend

BY SACNILK

Dhamaal 4 arrives as the latest installment in a comedy franchise that has historically relied on loud, slapstick humor to draw crowds. The film reunites the familiar ensemble of Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Javed Jaffrey, aiming to capitalize on the nostalgia of the earlier hits. However, the pre-release momentum was notably lukewarm; when the trailer first dropped, it failed to ignite the kind of massive social media conversation or high-octane buzz usually expected from a big-budget sequel. Instead of a wave of excitement, the initial reaction was quite measured, leaving the film to rely heavily on its theatrical performance to prove its worth. Now, six days into its run, the film is performing well at the box office, managing to find its footing and draw in consistent numbers. By the end of its sixth day, Dhamaal 4 has reached a worldwide gross of ₹124.66 Cr, a figure that highlights its steady performance across markets. This total is built on a solid domestic foundation, with India gross collections standing at ₹107.41 Cr. In the international circuit, the film has brought in a total gross of ₹17.25 Cr. When focusing on the core domestic earnings, the movie has officially secured a net collection of ₹90 Cr in India so far. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Looking specifically at the Day 6 performance, which fell on a Wednesday, the film collected a net of ₹6.75 Cr. When we compare this to Tuesday's net collection of ₹9.50 Cr, we see a drop of 28.9 percent. This decline is quite standard for a comedy film during the middle of its first week, as the initial weekend rush settles into a steady weekday pace. To achieve this Day 6 figure, the movie played across 11,137 shows, contributing to a massive cumulative total of 65,916 shows since its release. On the international front, early estimates suggest the film added another ₹1.25 Cr (approximately 149 thousand dollars) on its sixth day. According to Venky Box Office, the film earned 139 thousand dollars (roughly ₹1.16 Cr) on Tuesday alone. This brings its total North American gross to 714 thousand dollars (approximately ₹5.98 Cr). These numbers indicate a decent pull among the diaspora, even on working days. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Ticketing trends on BookMyShow further highlight the film's reach. On Tuesday, the platform recorded 133.65K tickets booked, while Wednesday saw 100.96K bookings. In total, the film has seen over 16,12,090 tickets sold through this platform alone. These figures reflect a healthy interest, though there is a visible downward trend as the week progresses. Looking at the performance across major national chains—PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis—we get a clearer picture of how the movie is trending through advance bookings. For its sixth day, these chains collectively sold around 5,300 tickets, resulting in a total gross of approximately ₹14.3 Lakhs. This was achieved across nearly 3,490 shows, reflecting a modest advance occupancy of about 0.9 percent. When we break these numbers down, INOX led the way with roughly 2,900 tickets sold, bringing in nearly ₹7.2 Lakhs from about 1,280 shows, which translates to a 1.0 percent occupancy rate. PVR followed with roughly 2,400 tickets, generating about ₹7.1 Lakhs from a slightly higher show count of around 1,540, resulting in an occupancy of approximately 0.8 percent. Interestingly, Cinepolis, which scheduled around 670 shows across nearly 80 venues, saw no activity in advance ticket sales for this period. These figures highlight that the film is currently relying more on spontaneous spot bookings and walk-in audiences rather than pre-planned ticket purchases, which is quite common for comedy sequels during the work week as they aim to maintain their screen count heading into the second weekend. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) When we break down the occupancy for Day 6, the overall average across India stood at 14.12 percent. The interest level grew steadily throughout the day, starting with a 6.92 percent occupancy in the morning shows. This jumped to 13.62 percent in the afternoon and 15.31 percent in the evening with the night shows peaking at 19.00 percent occupancy. Regional performance also tells an interesting story. The National Capital Region (NCR) led with 1,025 shows and an overall occupancy of 14.5 percent. Mumbai followed closely with 856 shows and 14.0 percent occupancy. Ahmedabad showed a strong preference for the film with 623 shows and a 15.5 percent occupancy rate, while Pune and Bengaluru saw 12.3 percent and 13.3 percent occupancy respectively. Surat recorded a lower engagement at 7.3 percent across its 381 shows.

Dhamaal 4 hits 100 Crore India Gross, ranking second in first Wednesday ticket sales among 2026 releases

BY SACNILK

Dhamaal 4 is moving through its first Wednesday with a typical mid-week dip in numbers. As the film hits its sixth day in theaters, the focus is on how it compares to other recent releases in terms of daily engagement. While the initial rush has slowed down, the film is still managing to hold a steady position in the current market. Dhamaal 4 has secured the second spot for ticket sales on BookMyShow during the 8 am to 3 pm window of its first Wednesday. With 33K tickets sold in this period, it stands ahead of other major 2026 releases like Bhooth Bangla, which recorded 31K sales out of its 93K daily total, and Welcome To The Jungle, which also saw 31K sales against an 87K daily total. Border 2 remains the leader in this specific comparison with 61K tickets from a daily total of 171K. Overall, the market is experiencing a quieter day, with the cumulative 24-hour ticket volume for these tracked films expected to stay below 100,000.This specific comparison tracks major releases where the overall 24-hour ticket volume on BookMyShow remained below the 500,000 mark for their first Wednesday (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Font style fo Looking at the specific hourly trends on BookMyShow, the film saw 33,110 tickets sold by 3 pm today. This is a noticeable decrease from yesterday's 45,210 tickets during the same period. A similar trend was observed in the 2 pm to 3 pm window, where the film sold 6,930 tickets compared to yesterday's 8,870. This downward trajectory is common for a first Wednesday, indicating a settling period as the film moves toward the end of its first week. The live box office data for Day 6 shows that Dhamaal 4 is currently running across 5,815 shows. So far, the film has collected a net of 1.54 Crore today. This brings the cumulative India net collections to 84.79 Crore. A major milestone has also been crossed on the gross front, as the total India gross collections have now officially surpassed the 100 Crore mark, currently sitting at 101.26 Crore. Final reports for the day are expected to push these figures slightly higher as the evening and night shows conclude. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Font style fo A closer look at the performance within major national cinema chains shows a very specific contribution pattern for today, July 15. PVR recorded approximately 2.4k tickets resulting in a gross of 7.1 Lakhs across 1.54k shows. INOX saw a slightly higher volume with 2.9k tickets sold, bringing in a gross of 7.2 Lakhs from 1.28k shows. Interestingly, Cinepolis recorded no tickets for the period tracked, with zero gross across its 0.67k shows. Collectively, these chains accounted for 5.3k tickets and a total gross of 14.3 Lakhs for the day. This resulted in a modest occupancy of 0.89 percent across the 3.49k scheduled shows in these chains. The overall picture for Dhamaal 4 remains one of steady accumulation. While the daily ticket sales have seen a percentage drop from Tuesday, the film holding the second spot among its peers shows that it is currently the preferred choice for audiences seeking comedy in the current release window. Crossing the 100 Crore gross mark in India is a significant psychological win for the makers as the film heads into its second weekend.

Shraddha Kapoor's Eetha Release Date To Be Changed?

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, July 15 - Shraddha Kapoor's much-awaited biographical drama Eetha might no longer hit theatres on its originally announced release date of August 28, 2026, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama. The Laxman Utekar directorial is now expected to arrive on a new date, with the makers reportedly evaluating whether to prepone the film or push it further into the year. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) As per the report, Maddock Films is actively discussing multiple release options and is expected to announce a revised date in the coming days. One of the primary reasons behind the move is the crowded release calendar in late August, particularly the arrival of Yash's pan-India action entertainer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which is scheduled to release on August 26. Trade circles believe a direct clash could impact the box office potential of both films, especially in Maharashtra, where Eetha is expected to enjoy strong traction due to its subject. The report further states that both preponement and postponement are on the table. If the makers opt to bring the film forward, the Independence Day weekend or August 7 are among the possible windows being explored. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The development comes at a time when several Bollywood release dates are being reshuffled. Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's Vvan, which was also slated for August 28, has already moved to September 25, opening the door for further adjustments across the release calendar. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Eetha stars Shraddha Kapoor as legendary Marathi Tamasha artiste Vithabai Narayangaonkar, with Randeep Hooda and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub playing key roles. While the makers are yet to make an official announcement, all eyes are now on Maddock Films as it finalises the film's new theatrical release date.

Alpha Day 12 Net earns 0.85 Crore as Alia Bhatt nears 10th million dollar North America hit

BY SACNILK

As Alpha completes its twelfth day in theaters, the box office performance reflects a quieter run compared to the usual high-stakes expectations associated with the YRF Spy Universe. Despite the novelty of being a female-led entry in the franchise featuring Alia Bhatt, the film is currently navigating its second week with modest figures. Let us take a look at how the latest numbers and occupancy trends are shaping up for the film. On its second Tuesday, Alpha recorded a net collection of 0.85 Crore across 2,344 shows. This marks a 13.3 percent growth compared to Monday's 0.75 Crore, though the daily earnings remain on the lower side for a project of this scale. With these latest numbers, the total India net collection has reached 55.20 Crore, while the domestic gross now stands at 65.77 Crore. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The global performance remains a key part of the film's journey. On Day 12, the international markets contributed 0.50 Crore, bringing the total overseas gross to 26.70 Crore. When we combine the domestic and international figures, the worldwide gross collection for Alpha has now reached 92.47 Crore. This has been achieved through a cumulative total of 65,445 shows scheduled since the release. A closer look at the North American market via data from Venky Box Office shows that the film earned 9,000 dollars on Monday, taking its total in the region to 910,000 dollars. The film is now very close to the 1 million dollar milestone. If this is achieved, Alpha will become Alia Bhatt's 10th film to reach this mark in North America. This is a significant achievement for her as a solo female lead, following the success of her previous hits: Gully Boy, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Raazi, Dear Zindagi, Kalank, 2 States, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The digital interest on BookMyShow also reflects a growing trend during the second week. On the second Monday, the platform recorded 10.8K tickets sold, which jumped to 17.29K tickets on the second Tuesday. This brings the total ticket sales on the platform to 951.72K. Occupancy rates for Day 12 show a logical progression throughout the day. The overall occupancy stood at 19.71 percent. Morning shows started slowly at 7.00 percent, but the numbers improved as the day went on. Afternoon shows recorded 17.54 percent, followed by 20.54 percent in the evening. As expected with action films, the night shows saw the highest engagement with 29.46 percent occupancy. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Regional performance highlights where the film is currently strongest. The National Capital Region led the charts with 23.8 percent occupancy across 307 shows, peaking at 34 percent for night screenings. Mumbai followed with 18.3 percent occupancy from 154 shows, with night shows reaching 28 percent. In other regions, Surat saw 14.3 percent occupancy across 87 shows, while Bengaluru recorded 13.0 percent from 86 shows. Ahmedabad had a more modest 11.5 percent occupancy from 153 shows. Performance within the national cinema chains on July 14 remained consistent with the overall trend. PVR sold approximately 1.6K tickets, resulting in a gross of 2.5 Lakhs. INOX followed with 0.8K tickets and a gross of 1.2 Lakhs, while Cinepolis added around 0.9K tickets for a 1.3 Lakhs gross. Collectively, these three chains accounted for 3.3K tickets and a total gross of 5 Lakhs for the day. This activity was recorded across 987 shows with an average occupancy of 2 percent. The stability in these urban centers is helping the film push closer to its next major milestones.

Ram Charan's Peddi Takes A Soft Start As Five Indian Films Make It Into Netflix's Weekly Ranking Chart

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, July 15 - Netflix has released its latest Global Top 10 Non-English Films rankings, and Indian cinema continues to enjoy a strong presence on the platform. A total of five Indian films found a place in the weekly chart, led by fresh OTT releases and recent theatrical titles. Among them is Ram Charan's Peddi, which made its streaming debut with a relatively modest start despite arriving with considerable buzz following its theatrical release. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) According to Netflix's weekly viewership rankings, Peddi garnered 1.9 million views in its first tracking week after premiering on the platform on July 9. It was the 5th most-watched non-English title during July 6-12. The sports drama managed to enter the Global Top 10 Non-English Films chart, but its opening viewership is on the lower side compared to several recent high-profile Indian releases on the streamer. Peddi had an average run at the box office, and its digital debut has followed a similar trajectory, opening without a major surge in viewership. The Hindi version of the film is yet to premiere, and it would have helped it score much better viewership data had it been streamed simultaneously, which is not the case. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Apart from Peddi, four other Indian films also secured places in Netflix's weekly global rankings, including Sunny Deol's direct digital release, Ikka (4.4 million) at 2, Daadi Ki Shaadi (2.1 million) at 4, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do (1.8 million) at 6, and Blast (1.1 million) at 8, underlining the consistent performance of Indian titles across languages on the streaming platform. The latest chart features films from different genres and industries, showcasing the diversity of Indian cinema and its growing appeal among international audiences. Having five Indian films in the same weekly chart is another indication of Netflix's increasing investment in Indian content and its worldwide consumption. Streaming viewership often builds over multiple weeks through positive word of mouth, and the coming weeks will determine whether the Ram Charan starrer can improve its performance. For now, Netflix's latest weekly rankings reaffirm the strong global footprint of Indian cinema, with five homegrown films earning a place among the platform's most-watched non-English titles.

Comedy sequels often carry a certain level of expectations at the box office, and Dhamaal 4 seems to be finding its rhythm as the first week progresses. With a legacy built on ensemble slapstick humor, the buzz around this fourth installment has been focused on whether it can recreate the madness of its predecessors. Let us dive into the numbers to see how the film is holding up after its first five days in theaters. Most films typically experience a downward trend on their first Tuesday, but Dhamaal 4 has managed to pull off a surprise. The film earned 9.50 Crore on Day 5, marking a growth of 8.6 percent compared to Monday's collection of 8.75 Crore. This slight uptick during a weekday is a positive indicator of audience interest. This performance was recorded across 11,077 shows on Tuesday, bringing the total India net collection to 83.25 Crore. In terms of gross figures, the domestic total has now reached 99.44 Crore. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The global footprint of the film is also expanding. Based on early estimates, Dhamaal 4 added 1.50 Crore from overseas markets on its fifth day, taking the total international gross to 16.00 Crore. When we combine the domestic and international numbers, the early estimates for the worldwide gross collection currently stand at 115.44 Crore. So far, the film has played across a cumulative total of 54,779 shows since its release. Providing some specific context for the North American market, data from Venky Box Office shows that the film collected 67,000 dollars (approximately 56 Lakhs) on Monday. This brings the total North American gross to 575,000 dollars (approximately 4.83 Crore). The film is now steadily nearing the 1 million dollar mark. If this milestone is achieved, it will mark Ajay Devgn's 17th film to cross 1 million dollars in North America, highlighting his consistent appeal in the international circuit alongside the film's domestic run. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Looking at the digital footprint through BookMyShow, the film has crossed a significant milestone of 1.5 million tickets sold on the platform.
