Virat Kohli holds the record for the most runs in a calendar year as he scored 973 runs in the 2016 Indian Premier League in 16 matches for Royal Challengers Benglore. Jos Buttler is second on the list as he scored 863 runs in 2022 for Rajsthan Royals.
