Manoj Bajapyee's Digital Blockbuster 'Bandaa' Gets Post-OTT Theatrical Release
Mumbai, June 1 - Manoj Bajpayee-fronted courtroom-drama film Bandaa/Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai was released on May 23 directly on ZEE5. Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, the film is ruling the viewership and is one of the most-watched films of all time on the streamer.



Now, a week after the film's digital debut, "Bandaa" is unprecedently getting a limited theatrical release on June 2. It is one of the rarest moments when a film is getting a theatrical release after originally debuting directly on the OTT platform.



"Bandaa" is the story of a five-year-long standalone fight of a regular session court lawyer who stands for the truth, and his struggle to bring justice to the girls who were wronged by a godman. The movie got critical acclaim upon its release and many believed it should have been a theatrical release in the first place.



The film is produced by Zee Studios along with Bhanushali Studios. It also stars Vipin Sharma, Adrija Sinha, and Surya Mohan Kulshrestha, among others in key roles.
