Marjaavaan Opens Decently; Bala Strong On Second Friday
Marjaavaan has opened with decent numbers at the box office. On an opening day, it earned approx 6 Cr India net according to early estimates. Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra have come together for the first time after the SUPER-HIT Ek Villain which also stars Shraddha Kapoor.
Marjaavaan started the day with low occupancy with nearly 10%. However, as the day progressed, the occupancy started to pick and it was the highest in the last part of the day with nearly 40% occupancy. Overall, Marjaavaan has had 25% response for the day.



The film has opened well in Maharashtra and Gujarat along with UP and Hyderabad where it is expected to perform well in the upcoming day. Marjaavaan is mostly for the mass audience and it has performed well in mass centers.

Marjaavaan should do well in the opening weekend as word of mouth will have a positive impact on the emotional love story. It's opening weekend collection maybe around 25 Cr India net which is far better than recent Siddharth Malhotra films.



On the other hand,Bala, that became the highest opening week collection movie for Ayushmann Khurrana with 72.24 Cr India net, remained solid on its second Friday despite sharing the screens with Marjaavaan as it earned approx 4.50 Cr India net and takes its total collection to 76.74 Cr while the worldwide collection is 110 Cr.

Bala, despite the competition with Marjaavaan, didn't affected much on day 8. The response in Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune was much better than Marjaavaan. Bala has already become the HIT and the next couple of weeks will be crucial for it to become the SUPER-HIT.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty starrar Motichoor Chaknachoor couldn't challenge the other releases as it was dull on an opening day with approx 50 Lakh. The further path will also be tough for it as the other movies are clearly looking to win the race at the moment.
