Prabhas 'Salaar 2' Shoot To Begin On August 10

Hyderabad, July 3 - Pan India superstar Prabhas, currently basking on the mega box office success of Kalki 2898 AD, is set to start the sequel of last year's success Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel amid the rumours of it getting shelved.

Salaar Part 1 was one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2023 and the makers planned to commence the shoot of Salar Part 2 sooner than later to complete the story. The movie was supposed to go on floors by June this year but now, it will roll out in August.



According to the report by Pinkvilla, the 20% shoot of Salaar 2 is already completed and the makers will resume it on August 10 with a 15-day schedule at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. It is said that plans to resume the filming in June were delayed due to weather and date issues.



Prashanth Neel, meanwhile also has Jr. NTR's Dragon and the report says that the filmmaker will juggle between the shoots of the two movies. Salaar 2 will be shot for over 8 months with Dragon in 2024 and 2025, starting from August this year. The makers are planning to release the sequel by the end of 2025.



Salaar Part 1 was released in December last year and went to gross around 618 crores at the worldwide box office. It stars Prabhas in the title role alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu, among many others in key roles.



To keep the excitement up for the sequel, Prithviraj Sukumaran recently teased a major crossover in Salaar 2 with another universe.
