Raashii Khanna, Disha Patani Join Sidharth Malhotra For Ariel Actioner 'Yodha'

Mumbai, December 18 - Man in form, actor Sidharth Malhotra was recently announced to lead filmmaker Karan Johar's first-ever action franchise film "Yodha" under his Dharma Productions. The ariel action thriller is being directed by Sagar Ambre & Pushkar Ojha, who earlier worked as assistant directors on "War", "Kick", among others.

There were some reports claiming that South sensation, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani would be playing the female lead roles, and now, confirming the same, the makers have officially brought both actresses on board. "Yodha" will be Raashii Khanna's second Hindi film after "Madras Cafe" (2013).

"Bringing her exquisite charm and innocence to the screens, welcoming Raashii Khanna to the #Yodha family! Ready for take off, landing to your hearts on 11th November, 2022", tweeted Dharma Productions.

Announcing Disha Patani on board, the Studio said, "Here to cause much turbulence in many hearts - Disha Patani joins the #Yodha family! Landing in theatres near you on 11th November, 2022".

"Yodha" is based on a plane hijack. Interestingly, it is the same film that was supposed to star Shahid Kapoor alongside Disha Patani. However, due to some issues, Shahid backed out of the project, making way for Malhotra, who is basking on the blockbuster success of "Sherhshaah".

The movie will be produced by Hiroo Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan. It will release on 11 November 2022 in theaters worldwide.
