Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart' Censor Details With Theatrical Runtime Revealed
Double iSmart is an important movie for both Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh and they seem to have gone all out for this mass entertainer just like the first part. It is revealed that the sequel has been censored with an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to strong violence and dialogues.
The sequel will be lengthier than the first part with approved theatrical runtime of 2 hours and 42 minutes (162 minutes). iSmart Shankar clocked 2 hours and 21 minutes which made it a neatly packed entertainer. Typically, the longer runtime is not considered ideal for an A-rated title but the reports say that despite its length, the narrative of Double iSmart is fast-paced and consistently entertaining, ensuring that audiences remain captivated from beginning to end.
As per the synopsis, "In Double iSmart, Big Bull (Sanjay Dutt), a notorious assassin, wants to achieve immortality and decides to transfer his memories to iSmart Shankar (Ram Pothineni), thus setting the stage for the intense confrontation between Shankar and Big Bull".
Produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmy Kaur, the film is scheduled to be released on August 15 in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil, languages.
