Ranbir Kapoor, Yash's 'Ramayana' Announcement Is On The Way
Mumbai, June 24 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Indian films with the potential to emerge as the biggest blockbuster ever. The movie features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Raavan, and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita.



Ramayana is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios and Yash's Monster Mind Creations. In a major development, it seems the official announcement of the epic with a first look teaser is on the way. According to the reports, a 3-minute-long title announcement video of Ramayana was censored on June 23.



The announcement of the movie was supposed to be made earlier, but was postponed. Ramayana is among the costliest Indian movies ever, with a projected budget of over 1000 crores. It will be released in two parts, with the first part slated to hit the big screen on Diwali 2026 and the second part on Diwali 2027.



The shoot of Ramayana is happening at a brisk pace. It is said that the first part filming is wrapped. Namit Malhotra's DNEG is handling the VFX, while Hollywood stunt director Guy Norris is on board to choreograph action sequences. Oscar winners AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer are the music directors of the film.
