Record Advance Booking For Mahesh Babu's 'Khaleja' Re-Release
The movie, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, is carrying tremendous buzz across social media platforms, and the same can be seen in the historic response to the pre-sales, which is among the highest for a re-release title in India.
In the first 2 days of the opening of advance booking, Khaleja has sold over 105K tickets on the online ticketing platform, Book My Show and final sales might be 200K+. Worldwide, the movie has sold tickets worth 3+ crores, which is excellent for a re-release film.
Given the hype and advance sales trend, Khaleja is expected to achieve a record-breaking opening day for a re-released film in the country. If the movie manages to have a good run, it might emerge as the biggest re-release grosser in India, but that is a long shot for now.
The film follows Raju, a taxi driver who is unexpectedly hailed as the prophesied divine saviour of a village suffering from a mysterious disease and must come to terms with his newfound status to protect the villagers.
