Sivakarthikeyan's 'Maaveeran' Gets A Release Date

The makers announced the release date with a video that features behind-the-scene vignettes from the making of the movie. The film's Telugu title is Mahaveerudu. It is produced by Arun Viswa under Shanthi Talkies.

Sivakarthikeyan has already wrapped up filming his portions for "Maaveeran", in which he reportedly essays the role of a cartoonist and will be seen performing some high-level action sequences in the film. Aditi Shankar plays the leading lady while Sunil, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, and Saritha play key roles.

The movie will clash with megastar Chiranjeevi's "Bholaa Shankar" in Telugu. Going by the rumors, superstar Rajinikanth's Tamil blockbuster "Jailer" is also planning an Independence week release which remains to see.
